Default Wishlist for this budget???

Come february and my DH is always talking about Income tax slab changes..ofcourse the FM never pays heed....we thought at least last year the slab would change..but there was not much relief.... So again the season of wishing for change in the budget.

As a homemaker, I visibly see the increase in prices by almost 10 to 50% in almost all items...for example the bournvita i brought for 101 in march 2007 costs 116rs this feb. sundrop which was 82 last march 2007 is now 94/96rs this feb. I would like a control on prices.

A change in the income tax slab would be a relief measure....

Medicines cheaper...

Every sector has a wish...

So what is yours....and what do you think the budget 2009 should emphasise on.....

Aishu22,

Me too keeping my fingers crossed. The real estate prices are already stabilising. what i would wish is a reduce in the interest rates helping the middle class to fulfil their dreams...recently heard lot of them have sold their houses because of the increase rates..

Hi all,

Business Line invites you to tell the Finance Minister your Budget expectations.
Send in your Budget wish list (in about 200 words) to BudgetWishlist2008@gmail.com, along with reasoning.
Attach your digital photograph (as a high resolution ‘jpg’ file) and your brief profile.
This run-up will appear from the issue dated February 21.

Hi Shanthi,
I would like the prices of essential items to be left as they are. Cookinng gas prices left unchanged. The petrol price hike is bad enough, if lo!!! they can revert back to the earlier price. If wishes were horses, I guess!!! Taxes let us see what changes are brought about that will not affect the working people.
