I normally dice tofu and add into my soups. Its ideal for chicken soup or even vegetable soup. I also sometimes deep fry the tofu and make a spicy peanut chutney to go with it. Or take a big square piece of tofu. Deep fry it and gently make a slit in the middle. Stuff julienned cucumber, bean sprouts, carrots and onions into it. Serve with chilli sauce.
All the best.

Hi Vandhana - tried the recipe for dinner tonight - A++++!!. It was spicy - like you recommended, I used chilli powder since I dont have paprika - also skipped the pine nuts. I made whole wheat pasta (spaghetti) and served the tofu with it - just great. Loved the tofu being spicy - I think you can almost serve the tofu by itself as an appetizer!!

Vandhana - Here's a couple of pictures of the Spicy Tofu. Thanks again - as you can tell, my spice level was quite high! My husband walked in the door today and said "what are you making, smells so good" I told him that I hoped it tasted as good as it smelled. Who was I kidding - it was great! He loves spicy food - so needless to say, it went over very well. Thanks again!!

Wow Shoba,

The pics were awesome. My mouth is watering. This tofu recipe is a hit in my place too. We eat it as is, with a salad on the side. Quite filling. Glad that you liked it.
I will post the next tofu recipe tomorrow.

Hi Kamla - I meant to send you a feedback a couple of weeks ago - tried your tofu cutlet - it was great! I had no guilt in eating more than 2 pieces!! Thanks. I wanted to send the fb at the same place where you posted the recipe which I got through the link below - but now it says it is invalid??

Besides that, I also cube it or slice it and combine with beans, eggplant, cauliflower etc and cook it along with them. Also, I use tofu pieces like one would the paneer and make NIndian curries. HTH!
Below is the link for the cutlet recipe.

Another Tofu idea!:

Slice tofu into a half inch thick slices. Dip it into a mixture of flour and water. Now coat this moist tofu slices with a mixture of breadcrumbs, salt, pepper/chilli powder and sesame seeds and shallow fry in some olive oil or vegetable margarine until golden brown and serve as a side dish with your usual meal or as a snack with ketchup. This is liked by almost everyone, including the tiny tots:)
