| Hi Meena, I tried this mushroom recipe. It was very tasty We had it with Chappatis and wanted to keep on having non-stop! BTW, I am not sure why it has the name 'Tava' mushrooms, though the recipe did not say anything like tossing/stir frying in a tava. |

| Hi Rathi, Glad u liked the recipe. Its basically a tava recipe but I didn't specify it. This is one of my daughters favourite. She too enjoys it that I spread it on the chappati and make a roll for her. There are many recipes with mushroom but here u get the taste of only mushrooms mixed with all masalas and it tastes divine and a simple recipe tooo. thanx for ur feedback.

| Ingredients: Dhaniya-1tbsp Raw rice- 1tsp Gram Dal- 1tbsp Red chilli-According to taste Thoor Dal-1tbsp Fengugreek Seeds (Methi, vendayam)-1 tsp Pattai Lavangam- small amount Dry fry all the above ingredients and grind them in to fine powder. Tamarind (imli)-Lemon size, soaked in water Kodaimulagai (Shimla Mirch)- cut in to small pieces. METHOD: 1.Heat oil and add mustard seeds, urad dal, jeera, curry leaves, shimla mirch (Kodaimulagai) and fry well in slow flame. 2. When kodaimilagai gets cooked, add tamarind water, salt and the ground powder mentioned above. Allow it to boil till it thickens. This can be used as side dish for idli, dosa and upma.
