 new names in english or tamil hello i live in new delhi and I am looking for english /tamil name for a spice which is called Harad in North india/bihar. IT looks like marati moggu/ kadukai . can somebody explain its uses .also want to know what marathi moggu is called in hindi/english |

| Modak Preparation HI all , In india all are celebrating Ganesh festival ...I love Modak ,but here in USA I dont know how to prepare it. Bcoz in india we used steel filter for modak preparation . so ladies plz suggest me another way for modak preparation. thanks , smith21181 |

| help me on buying nonstick skillets hi IL's i'm facing a prob with Stainless Stell skillets while cooking curries i.e., they are sticking at the bottom and the curry gets damaged  ...plz ladies suggest a good as well as economy non stick skillet which was useful for cooking curries....(i cook on electric stove)...

| Re: help me on buying nonstick skillets Hi Srijini, I too was about my sticky pans until i read articles here in IL about how a non-stick pan can cause health hazards like cancer.So i decided to sit for a compromise with my sticky pan.So everytime before using it i scramble an egg on it.And  we've become friends!!More tips: 1)Use an Indalium (Bombay aluminium is how it is called in Chennai) instead of aluminium kadais 2)Give enough time and sufficient heat for the items being fried before turning sides 3)Add some maida to the batter (if that wudnt spoil the recipe on thw whole) |
