We get "Khuboos" in GCC also known as Pita bread...Usually my DH does not like that but for some emergency cases, he eats with any of the gravy...whenever we buy, it comes as a 5 0r 6 pcs..we will not get less than that..so once i bought ..and alsmot 4 pcs were left and it has to consumed within two days ..i dont want to waste and wanted to try some new recipe out of that...the recipe is below and it became a great hit and nowadays this snack has become common in our house...
Just tear the khuboos or cut with ur kitchen scissors..then deep fry it and put it in the sugar syrup...A great recipe is ready and none can identify that it is made with khuboos...
yeaturday i made black forest cake ....it was so bad ...only my kid tasted it...then only i saw some bad commands for that recipe...i really felt sad...i took more effert to bake the cake...
I don't get time to make breakfast in the morning. I just get up and leave my house within 30 mins. I usually prepare breakfast (mostly dosai) the previous night and just microwave it in the morning. This time I tried making dosa batter with brown rice and whole urad dal. It doesn't taste like our usual dosa but I am eating it considering the nutritional value and hide the dosa taste with chutneys.
Today's lunch is beans sambhar , chapathi and mixed vegetables curry.
Yeah .. I tried veg quesadilla ( Mexican-Indian fusion ) today.. Made one before hubbypie gets back home ( though eventually he is my guinea pig !! ) It tasted yummm ! Called him and told him " my review " !! He said, he cant wait to get home !!
breakfast for my kid is usually a sandwich with some variation in what use as a spread. for DH, it is always whatever fresh fruit at home, and i eat oatmeal with raisins. i made pasta with vegetables today: whole wheat pasta, broccoli, mushroom, onion, zucchini, green and black olives, fatfree cheese, pasta sauce and pasta spices... dinner was idlies with sambar...
