Default newly married

Hi

I am newly married and new to cooking. I started preparing recipes looking at cooking videos. My husband was at first happy to eat my food. But now he complains its the same food and is not tasty. I live in UK .I cook every day as my hubby wants food fresh and hot. We both work so in the evening, I come back from work and cook. Afternoon, i pack chappathi or paratha for him to takewith him. Every day I try to figure out some recipe. So far I've learnt to make sambar, chicken/egg curry, tomato rice, veg rice, all poriyals. My hubby says poriyal is fine but curry is not very good and is not thick like a gravy in wat ever consistency i make.

I dont understand wats going on with the curry prep. Hubby is getting frustrated and thinks he must eat from outside. Eating from outside is not always good for health. Can u suggest some nice recipes. Most of the recipes mention grinding some ingredients. I once tried grinding tomato, onion and some other ingredients and that turned out so sour. so I dont grind anything in mixie but just fry in kadai or pan. I use the usual basic recipes to make food.

Can someone suggest good recipes and making cooking easier and tastier for me?

Thanks

hi

Thanks for your reply. When I make egg curry, and after following the usual procedure of frying onions, green chilly, ginger garlic paste, tomato and after adding all the spices(chilly powder, turmeric, coriander powder, salt) and after making a paste I add 1 cup of water and allow it to boil. the water just goes down so i add some more water. however the gravy doesnt come up thick and is always watery like rasam.

My husband is getting frustrated with my cooking and I am going mad not knowing wat more i shd do to make it tasty.

Your help and suggestions will be much appreciated.

Thanks
