I would have just mentioned that todays lunch was channa rice.. but not like the yummy post of yourss... with picturess. cho chweet...

Channa rice was great... slight variation to yours though...

I added a handful of spinach as well and also.. side dish was tindora fry...

Healthy variation..so instead of mint..I guess you added spinach..or both?
Sure, we can change & make our own creations in the kitchen..no limits for imagination and trying out new recipes...

Tindora (Kovakkai) is another favorite of mine !!! :)

I had desi Medditaranian sandwitch for lunch.

2 slices of Sprouted wheat bread
2 tbsp of hummas(store bought)
onion circles 2
tomato circles 2
cucumber slices 4 circles
sweet peppers - 4 nos
lasoon chutney(garlic chutney powder - store bought) - 1tbsp

Toast the bread. Now spread hummas to the bread and sprinkle garlic chutney powder and arrange onion, then tomatos, then cucumber, sweet peppers and sprinkle salt. At this stage adding feta cheese or amul cheese, shredded carrots are optional. Now cover with the other slice and cut into half.

If anybody needs hummas recipe pl. let me know.

Hi,

Today, I made Veggie Pulao, Cucumber patchadi (yes, once again), Channa masala, Curd rice with store bought Nellikai pickle {Grandma's}

Dessert- Watermelon slices

Posting the pics of Veggie Pulao with Patchadi, Potato chips and Watermelon Slices- since these took 30minutes.

Krithika my dear, what have I done for you to tortoure me like this. Do you know it is still 11AM in California? It is one more hour to noon and your pictures made me super hungry. I have a healthly Eggplant, Mushroom and Basil Spheggeti that I made this morning for lunch, but still can't beat your Pulao.

May be I should save my lunch for dinner and go for a Indian restuarant around the corner from my work. But I doubt it would taste and look like yours.

Lesson for me - DO NOT BROWSE FOOD THREADS AT WORK, ALL THEY WILL DO IS LEAVE YOU HUNGRY AND CRAVING.
