Dear Cutepavi,

Why will pasta get dry?

If the pasta is already mixed with sauce, then it is just like a mixed rice (kalandha sadam). If you are adding veggies/meat, sauce and some cheese to the pasta, it will retain its moisture. While heating, hubby should sprinkle some water on it and heat. That's all.

If you have baked the pasta, even then, it should be ok and will retain its moisture.

L, Kamla

Hahah..Rithi..This is how my hubby takes his lunch, 1 rectangular glass container with lid for rice(or main course),2 small circular ones(glass) for the side dish.I put all this in a lunch bag available in supermarket, with spoon in the front zip.Sometimes i add another small container of yogurt/salad.
If the curry is really dry,i keep it in main container itself.

Thanks Supriya,

I wish there is 'aduku' tiffin box like what we get in India in a microwavable way. I can still claim it is one lunch box

Supriya,

Just saw the link you gave...

My God!! $85 for the lunch box!!!???? Atrocious! We might as well grab a couple of sets when we go to India..or if someone comes here to visit us.

Rithi,

The microwaveable glass containers (from pyrex) are really worth buying. They come in different sizes and some exclusively for packing lunch. These can be used in MW and the lids hold in place.
