Cool More and more tips.....

Hi to all,

thank you very much for your comments and wishes. Here are some more tips. enjoy.
  • While you make chappati dough, you can add any kind of greens with that. Like coriander leaves, methi leaves, pudina leaves or spring onions etc.,
  • You can add organo salt or magi salt or garam masala powder or ‘zater’ in the dough to get many varieties of masala chappati. You can also add ‘ Batsha’s pav baaji masala in the dough.
  • If you want to make chappati round , first just press the dough in the chappati maker ( not the electrical one, the old one) so you will get a small round of chappati. Then you make it slightly big. Amma trained me like this only. Now a days without chappati maker’s help I will make ‘pakka’ round chappati.

Cool Chappati tips contd.,

  • You can make sweet chappati or fruit chappati. While mixing the flour, you can add banana or apple to make fruit chappati.
  • If you want sugar chappati add one or two tsp. Sugar while mixing the flour. Then eat with sugar syrup or honey.
  • I used to stuff chappati with mashed potato and panner masala. They are my favorites.

Cool Chappati stuffing

Chappati Stuffing.

Just grate panner and mix crushed black pepper, cumin and salt.
Keep aside.

Prepare chappati dough.

Take one ball size of dough and make like a cup with your hands.

Put some quantity of the panner masala mixture and close it firmly.

Prepare chappati very carefully and put it on the tawa.

Use ghee or oil to make chappati.

Yummy stuffed chappati is ready to eat.

Cool Dosa and Idly

Now a days making dosa or idly is very easy because we get ground dosa batter.
So get 1 pkt. Of dosa dough.
If you use 3 lt cooker, you can keep this small idly stand in that.
So that you can make less quantity of idly as well as you can finish washing quickly.
Transfer the batter in a container, add salt.
Mix well and make idly.
Remove and eat with ‘dosa miligai podi’

Note: If you want, you can prepare and store idly in the freezer.
Whenever you want you can reheat it.
You can use ‘karivepalai pode, coriander leaves podi, dosa miligai podi or A.P.P ., as a side dish for idly. See krishnaamma's index for these podies.
Just heat idly in oven, pour one sp oil or ghee on it. Put any one podi and just ‘kuluku’ mix them eat.

Dosa is my all time favorite.

If I have dosa batter in my house, that is all.

I will prepare dosa , dosa, dosa ………………….Try to make dosa in nonstick, so that you can make dosa easily.

I used to prepare many verities in that.

Plain, masala vala, ghee roast, butter roast, butter masala, onion dosa, tomato dosa etc.,

Like noodles pasta is also very easy to prepare and healthy too.

Take 1 cup pasta (design as per your wish), pour 3 to 4 cups water in a deep pan.
Bring it to a boil. Add 1 sp salt and pasta.
Let it cook for 5 to 10 min., till it becomes soft. Stir occasionally.
Remove from the fire and drain the water.
In a pan pour 1 sp oil and make seasoning with mustard and cumin seeds.
