Hi San,
I always roast rava in a Kadhayi as soon as i bring it hence Worms do not affect Rava.
I think you can do that now also.

I usually roast it too but this time I cudnt do it.
But will those clumps loosen when i roast it, cos yesterday i kept in microwave for a min, just to test whether the moisture goes away but it didnt. I shall try in kadai, if it works then good!!
Thanks for ur suggestions.

Hi Sanravi,

Better throw out the whole thing ..... why consume worm infested food at all ??
Keeping in the sun is not going to make it healthier to eat, is it .

Bye,
Dew.

hi,

a few months back we relished a dish called "kadai palak"- vegetarian in a bangalore restaurant. it was simply delicious.

can anyone give me the recipe of that. i searched the net in vain.

one important point is , it does not contain paneer.

Thumbs down Re: tomato rasam recepie(Tamil style)

Hi lucky

Its so easy...
Make rasam powder by grinding pepper, red chilli, toor dhaal, coriander seeds, jeera if needed
  1. Cook the toor dal in 1 cup of water till very soft adding more water if required. Allow to stand.
  2. Take 1 cup of water, add diced tomatoes in a heavy saucepan with the little tamarind , asafoetida powder, rasam powder, turmeric powder and salt to taste. Simmer for about 15 minutes. Add chopped coriander leaves while boiling itself.
  3. Add the cooked toor dhal to the rasam. Bring back to a boil.
  4. Tempering: Heat the ghee in a heavy frying add the mustard seeds, cumin seeds, chilli and curry leaves.
  5. When mixture starts to spit stir it into the rasam.
  6. Serve hot and preferably immediately
Try out...
All the best!

Regards
chella....
