Hi
I would like to share this all time favourite Beetroot chutney.Beetroot cleans the blood and also increases the Hb levels in the blood.
Beetroot chutney:
Beetroot 2 cups
dry chillie 4
turmeric 1/4 tsp
dhaniya seeds 2 tsp
jeera 1 tsptamarind paste 2tsp
salt as required
Direction:
Take oil in pan add all ingredients except tamarind and fry till cooked.Cool .Add tamarind and make a paste .Do tadka if necessary or can serve as it is.
Enjoy.

Default Bottle gourd Chutney

bottle gourd Chutney

Ingredients:

1 cup bottle gourd chopped
1 cup grated coconut
1 tomato, chopped
to fry
3 tbsp oil
3 red chilies & pepper
1 tbsp urad dal
1 tsp channadal
Salt to taste
A pinch of asafoetida
1/4 tsp mustard seeds

Method:

1. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan, fry urad dal ,channa dal, pepper,chilly, till the dal turns light brown.

2. Add chopped bottlegourd & tomato and fry till it gets soft.

after adding the coconut ,switch off the gas and allow it to cool.

4. grind it in a mixer in a smooth .

5. Heat the remaining oil, fry mustard seeds & add it .

Smile Coriander Chutney (Kotamera Podi)

Ingredients :-
  • 3 small bunches fresh coriander
  • ½ coconut make small pieces
  • 1 small onion
  • 7 green chillies
  • 1tsp salt or as per ur taste
for seasoning:
1 tsp.oil
1/4 tsp. mustard seeds
1/4 tsp. cumin seeds
4-5 curry leaves
6-8 cloves garlic
1 pinch asafoetida
PREPARATION:
  • Cut off roots from coriander, peel garlic and remove stalks from green chillies. Wash all these ingredients thoroughly. Cut onion into small pieces.
  • Grind these all coriander, coconut, onion, chillies and salt in a mixer.
  • Take a pan put 1tbspoon oil. Heat oil and add the seasoning ingredients. Fry garlic till it is light brown in color.
  • Pour hot oil over the chutney and mix gently.
  • Serve with hot rice

Hi,

Here's one way to make it, easy and quick!

Mix together SOur cream, Ranch dressing salad powder (it is available in Walmart, in samll sachets), add frozen chopped spinach (after squeezing of excess water), mix a tsp. of mayo, and a little of pepper if u desire, mix well, and it tastes just great!

RAW MANGO AND ONION CHUTNEY

A chutney with raw mango and onion may surprise you, but making this a part of your daily diet helps to prevent you from sunstrokes.
Preparation Time : 10 mins.
Cooking Time : Nil.
Makes 1 cup.
Ingredients

½ cup raw mango, grated
½ cup white onions, grated
2 tablespoons grated jaggery (gur)
¼ teaspoon black salt (sanchal)
¼ teaspoon roasted cumin seed (jeera) powder
¼ teaspoon chilli powder
salt to taste

Method

1. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl.

2. Keep aside till the jaggery melts.

3. Cover and keep refrigerate till required.

4. Serve the chutney with lunch everyday.


Tips

This lasts for upto 3 days if refrigerated but it's best to make it fresh everyday

Raw Mango chutney




Preparation Time : 10 min.

Makes 1 cup.
Ingredients
1/2 cup raw mango , peeled and grated
1 cup chopped coriander
2 green chillies, chopped
1 teaspoon cumin seed powder (jeera)
1 tablespoon sugar
salt to taste
Method
1.

Grind all the ingredients in a blender into a fine paste.
Tips
Add a little water while grinding to adjust the consistency.
VARIATION :
Use 1 cup of grated coconut and 1 tablespoon of chilli powder instead of coriander and green chillies.
