There is nothing like an ideal age gsp. It is all upto the parents to decide. Kids who have only one year age gap also do well. Between my sister and me there is a 10 year age gap. We are best friends. So kids will figure out ways to be happy. My DS1 was so possessive about me after delivery of DS2 also. But now he seems to enjoy DS2's presence because he plays with him. So finally it is upto you.
