my kid is 4 year old n today was his 2nd day at tuiton.
when i went to pick him up, he told his teacher slapped him.
to this his teacher said, he was irritating him n she said she wanted to set example for other kids as other kids would do same. . my ds was very very sad n fearful.

i just left though i wanted to slap her.
on the way she slapper him on both sides of face.
though i didn't said her anything, i can't stop thinking n feel like i shd have responded back.

p.s- my son doesn't study at home its been sort of issue

I think its not to be tolerated.. I noticed you live abroad n I was under the impression such things are illegal.. Even in India nowadays teachers are not allowed to beat children..

its not good..she should not hit any kid no matter what..if she cant handle these kids then probably its time to shut her tuttion classes and look for other profession.
if i was at your place i would have demanded apology or would have even register police complaint. If she has any problem she can talk to parents and not hit any kid. Talk to her. Dont just let it go..else you might see it happening again.

I am not sure I understand. 4 year old is actually being sent for tuition because he does not study at home?

I think you just need to stop sending him to tuition and allow him to explore learning through play.

No one has the right to hit a child. The tuition teacher is setting a bad example. You should stand up for your child. There is no need for you to be silent with the teacher. You have to be a role model for your child. You are setting an example to your child that it is ok to be silent when someone does something that is not right.

Do not force your child to go to the teacher again. Talk to him about the situation. It is quite ok to apologize to your child for putting him in the situation.

In Canada, we have a policy no hands and no feet that kids follow at the school. Abuse is what is sounds like. It is never right to hit; especially a teacher to a student. There is power and control that the teacher seeks and the kids have no choice........Stand up for ur child and do something about it, is what I would suggest.

Did I read right? A 4 year old sent for tuition?

Can you clarify the reasons? (Trying to understand, not judging! - peace)
