guntapallisri,

I remember downloading the software of a solar system where you can show the stars and the planets and their orbit, from the net long back.

Taking them to a visit at the planetarium is a good idea and is good experience.

You get the pictorial books on solar system and our universe..which are colorful and informative also.

Guntapallisri,

my son who is now 5 has been crazily interested in outer space stuff since he has been 3. If you go to young kids (not toddlers) but more like 2 & 3 graders, you will find a lot of books about the same in library here. ALso there are a couple of books like "Papa please get the moon for me" by Eric Carle, a couple of solar system videos from Blue's clues and magic school bus series. My son now gets books from his school library and the recent book he got is "dogs in space".

There are a lot of simple activiteslike puzzles etc for that age group to keep them engaged and interested in space. Also do check out your local observatory. They usually have activities catered to all age groups.

This is what I could think of as I am writing. But if you like to know more, don't hesitate to write to me
