How long do you wish to live?...

Hi IL friends

This morning my walking buddies and I were having a general discussion of how long each wants to live on this earth. I said I want to get over my kids responsibilities and then I don't care however long or not. Some said they want to go as far as 100!! Some said if not for these kids I do not wish another day. So on and so forth......went our talk.

Now, can my IL friends tell me what would be their personal opinion on this.
C'MON just join for the sake of it. Nothing so serious really intended in this thread since we all believe in 'destiny' after all.

Anyway, if your number is as high as 100 then what are you doing towards achieving that?? Do you want to share here? You may if you please!!

i feel the quality of life is important. what is the use of living a 100 years with some illness ? a healthy and happy life is better even if it is short, than living a long long life and depending on someone .

I happen to read the post today. Quality of life always matters, as long as you do not depend on others for your day to day life, don't become a burden to others, I would like to enjoy life. World does not come to stand still after we go, life goes on. But sure I would like to leave a mark behind me, sure I want people to remember me in a better way, should serve the purpose for being born as a human being.

i agree with you.world will not end without us. we should live a meaningful life and when we are gone our near and dear ones should remember us with love and respect ,and not sign with relief .this is what i believe and try my best to follow. nice to have you as a friend.

As you say everything is written in destiny so no one can help how long to live. But yah, I wish to live as long as I am able to be independent both physically and mentally. I really dread being dependent for movements and medicines and all such things on others. Though do not know what fate has in store for me.

So I wish to live as long as I am hail and healthy and for that I take care to exercise and eat a right diet. Yes laziness some times overpowers or the taste buds ask for something that should not be eaten, but I am a bit flexible about these and once in a way, allow these, and then soon try to make up.
