Nose bleeding

Dear friends,
I am having bleeding in my left nose since yesterday afternoon.
I am drinking milk but nothing is helping.I am keeping my head raised up but still it is not stopping.
I am not aware of what to do to stop this bleeding.
If anyone of u has any idea how to stop this pls help me.

I started having nose bleeding since my teenage years. It was really a nuisance. I consulted a ENT Doctor in US. He said due to dryness I was getting nose bleed. I have to put saline drops on my nose to keep the nose moist if it still doesn't work use a humidifier. I still get nose bleed once in a while especially in the winter months due to dry air. I am using the humidifier now. No problem now. You can find a humidifier in Walmart or walgreens. I hope this will work for you.

Thank u ladies,i shall take an appointment with my doctor and for sure buy a humidifier.
In the mean while my mother told me (i had called her) that if we keep sniffing at a piece of ice cube nose bleeding will stop.Thought of sharing this info here.I have kept water in ice tray as in winter i never keep ice at home.Shall try it once ice gets formed.

I'm a Pharmacist. Try using over-the-counter "Nosebleed QR". I heard it works great. You can find it in wal-mart pharmacy section or Walgreens.
