| Sudharshan tablets are also very good for treating piles. Two tablets taken before bed time with warm water or milk work nicely and they do not have any side affects.

| Saraswathi, Himalaya Drugs has a herbal tablet called HERBOLAX. My husband's friend has piles and he finds some relief with this. Another home remedy is ISABGOL. It comes in good flavours now. Can drink mixed with warm water. The main thing is not to get addicted (dependent ) on either of the above. They will not cause any harm. but the psychological feeling that they are indispensible will creep in. Avoid any hot stuff, jaggery, sugar, even chapathis can cause aggravation. Radish, prunes are very good. Try asking Vandhana. She is a nutritionist and dietician. For this friend, I asked Vandhana and she mailed me a diet which was doing him much good. regards Vidya |
