Angry National Anthem and these parents

Dear all
Three days back I went to my daughter's school for attending a function. At the end when they played National Anthem, only four parents including me from the crowd of 50 people, sang. Worst part is some of them were sharing a naughty smile as if we are doing something funny. One of them commented openly in Tamil, 'enna desapatru'. Why they are like this? I just dont understand them.

Yeah.... many people doesn't show up their feelings and try to maintain their low profile.
Many females would think that their life has ended after kids.

hi uma,

so many times i felt the same so i can understand your feeling. i don`t know why they do like this, out of shy?.after all we have to sing national anthem 2 or 3 times only in a year . atleast they can give the lip movement. they should realize that they can show their patriotism by singing national anthem. that to without spending a single paisa.

request to everybody.... sing national anthem wholeheartedly

love your motherland

lots of love

really, what prevents these ppl from singing the national anthem...i've seen some don't even stand up...why dont they realise that it deserves atleast this basic respect...as u say, they throw silly grins at those of us who sing...wat's wrong in having 'desa patru'...wonder what kind of example they'll set for their children....

Ignore them Uma.. Thats how much value they have for their country and just imagine what value these parents would give to their kids..

I am so proud of you and I hope your kids are awesome too, learning not just studies but other important values from you. Please do follow what you ever you are doing !!!!

I will write in detail about the pathetic fate of these parents in a while... me watching TV now

Uma,
Looking at these people and reading about such matters, boils my blood...
Just now ignore them, whatelse...
I usually stand up where ever i was and stop doing any thing at that time...due to criticism, i am usually out of sight of these people...

My children learned it from me, our national anthem--and even corrected their teacher, who taught them in their singing class..

True we should instill these habits to our children...
