I Can't understand, Why is it so?

You are true. It might hurt many, but I want to say it as you have come out with one such topic. When I joined I was actively taking part and I have started a few many threads and posted few many responses and replies. But for some of my threads as you said there were lots of viewers but no replies at all. I started feeling let down and I did not participate so actively. So has done some of my friends too. We all became friends after joining IL. But when I see some thread or post quite intriguing I just post my views there.

Now I have once again started participating and would love to see atleast one liners as response as you said. Thanks on behalf of so many of us in putting forth this view.

Cant help noticing that your address line quote have changed is it one for every new month or week? All your address line quotes are too good. And you keep changing that too regularly. Will follow your pattern and keep changing my address line quote too.

It is not a question of self confidence..... and it is not that seniors ar going to hit..... it is the respect for elders which is imbibed on us by our culture.... May be u can call it that way........

What holds the members from replying to the threads and posts? What holds the members from interacting freely with other members in the site? Why is it that there is less number of replies compared to the number of viewer ship? Are you feeling you are still an alien to the site? <o:p></o:p>

I write very simple English language its coz I feel there are members from all backgrounds who should be able to understand what I write. I am not here to show my strength of vocabulary. I am here to reach the mass. There are other members too who write in simple language so that you can understand. <o:p></o:p>

For all the North Indian Viewers, if you feel few Tamil words are penned in the threads and you are pulling your hair, feel free to write and ask, “what does it mean”. Ask, you get your answer. Silence is not the solution. <o:p></o:p>

There were so many members who interacted with me during my “short good bye”. They wrote to me saying they read my threads regularly. Like me, they must be following up with other threads too. Unless, you interact, you are a lost fish in this ocean. You have to come out of the shell and interact, be active, take part in discussion, share your hobbies, nit pricks, jokes, anecdotes, start a thread, post your threads….<o:p></o:p>

I am eagerly waiting to see new names on the threads, all that I see is Chitvish, Krishnaamma, Poonamjoshi9266, nora, Nischel, Nivedi, Shanvy, malspie, TDU/ Goldie, Vysan, Varalotti, Sathya, Vivbaas, Rajjo, Tulasi, Chatkara_tasty, Sunkan. Without asking the management of IL, I am raising this issue. I do not intend to hurt the sentiments of the management. IL is site with large number of members from all background. Then why only few participate. I read your post with great interest, as a member here for nearly 2 yrs. What I write here is purely my personal opinion & not as amoderator.

Till Dec 2nd last year when the I L write up came in metroplus, the Hindu, our site had around 1500 members only. If you clicked New Posts, it hardly ever ran into the second page. So, we all had time to browse through all the posts, leave alone sending a feedback. Ever since, the no: of members has increased, the new posts run to several pages. One goes by the forums of one's interest first to see the new posts.
I see through most (not all, please note) of the posts more to check if there is any moderation to be done, post to be shifted to an existing thread, thread to be changed to another sub-forum or
infraction (if at all) has to be given.

Besides, please tell me, is it possible to send feedbacks to all the posts, we read? Some posts are very good, some enjoyable & quite a few, less interesting even to read once.

Very often the forwards are the ones, we have already received in our mail.

Now, coming to the feedback part of it, say, I read 25 posts a day in different forums. Is it possible to give a reply to all that I read?
Unless you enjoy it very much or want to share a different idea, we do not bother to write back.
Besides, please remember, not everybody is blessed with a power of good expression.
You very often grope for the right words, but finally give up. Quite a lot of us do have the language problem with the fear that there may be grammar mistakes. Who would like to cut a sorry figure?

Very often, we are afraid of giving a different point of view for fear of hurting the person. Then, it looks safe to keep mum !

I cannot ask anybody "You have never come to my sub-forum; don't you cook at home, my recipes at all?" The same way, so many I L ites repeatedly asked me to write on the Gita – now after I started the
same, I find that most of them do not send me F Bs, which makes me wonder whether they read my culture posts at all ! That it does not bother me, is besides the point.

My own conclusuion is, our parameter should be the no: of views & not the replies, to judge for yourself whether your post has been well received or not.
Many of my friends have joined only to read the posts & not just interested in interaction. We cannot compel them. I get so many F Bs by PM, which makes me wonder why they do not write in the open forum.
Perhaps, to eachone, her or his own reason.

That onlly shows, the members do come forward & express themselves, if they strongly feel about something. That is a very good sign, I think! On an average a person can spend 1-2 hrs, to browse I L. How much can one read & write in that time?
So let us reassure ourselves that all is well, as things stand now !

I have gone through your post not only this i have gone through your all the post some times what happened i will write all the reply to post while sending i am getting some problem yesterday i wrote a long reply to ur post ROMANCE MEANS .............. the same problem i got at that time And the same problem i got just now also , Some times lacking of time i want to spend some time in Il but it's not possible to me .
