Default Diabetic and premenopausal problems

Hi Eeryone,

I really need all the help and info i can get from all of you friendly folks
in the following issues i am dealing from past 3-4 months.

1. I was diagnosed with Diabetes 4 months ago. My doc prescribed me
metformin to reduce my sugar levels. It is working o.k. with diet
and exercise which i am following sincerely.
2. Two months ago my period started and kept on going for 6 weeks. I talked to my Gyn. she did biopsi and said eerything is normal, it is just hormonal inbalance which can be fixxed by Birthcontrol pill. I started taking it, at the beginning my bleeding was 5-6 pads / day. Later it reduced to 1 pad. The pill i am using is Azurette. Still 1 pad after 6 weeks. She says it still works.

Does anyone know whether this is the right way to deal my issues? Any other options?. If so please please let me know.

Thank you
TVMallika
