We have been TTC for the last 4 months but no success so far. I have a 24 day cycle and ovulate around the 12-13th day... Have been noticing that I dont produce too much of cervical mucus and suspecting that cud be the reason for the failures!? or I have too short a luteal phase that is preventing implantation?

Having an appnt with my Gyneac to get a complete check up done for myself and hubby? All my sugar and cholestrol levels r normal....

It does sound like you have a short luteal phase. If you ovulate on day 13 and your period comes on day 24, your luteal phase is 11 days whereas atleast 14 days are required for a good conception. But this is very easily resolved with progesterone supplements and I am sure your gynac will advise you properly.

4 months is a short time though to start worrying. Generally they say to try for atleast 8-12 months before consulting the doctors.

For cervical mucous, drink lots of water and take robitussum with guanafesin to help thin out your cervical mucus.

    Thanks for your quick response..

I know they say that we shd wait for 8-12 months but we have been married for 6+ years and am 28 yrs old.. so more than us our family is getting worried... So they keep asking us abt it and I think that adds to the stress...
Yoga and regular exercise is keeping me sane...
we waited this long to settle down in our career before we start a family... since it is taking a while, we are also starting to worry a bit ... I guess all the more bcoz all my friends seem to get pregnant easily and that too now...

Sorry for venting.... I am glad I found this forum thro google search... lot of valuable information....

Don't worry and please don't stress yourself out. You are only 28! I started trying at 30 and it took me 2 years to conceive and that too using IUI!

If you want to be aggresive in conceiving, please consult a reproductive endicronologist and get yourself and yiur hubby checked out. In about 50% of the cases, sperm issues are the main cause of not getting pregnant. So it's a good idea to get a sperm analysis for your hubby, especially since your cycles are so regular.

Also, try eating a low-carb diet with lots of protein, drink lots of water and do moderate excercise such as walking for atleast 20-30 minutes a day. Continue with yoga as well, that is an awesome thing to do!

I've also been told by my best friend that the doggy style position of intercourse is the best for conceiving. Have not tried that myself but you can!

    I had one other question...

I go to the Gym and do elliptical 3 times a week for abt 30mins... After that I lie down and do some crunches and some ab exercises... Is it ok to do crunches when TTC?
Looks like we women gain all the weight only in the mid section...Harhar

Apart from that I do 30min-1hr Yoga everyday?

    Any comments on this routine?

Your excercise routine sounds great! crunches you can avoid because it twists your ovaries and uterus etc. I used to go for accupuncture and the doc told me not to do crunches.
