What do i call a husband like this???

i understand the concerns you have for your child.

do you think he is not concerned on the welfare of his child?

the reason he gave at office is not acceptable to you.

ensure that he doesn't say the same again.

at his office side like many have pointed out:

peers & boss might not like him to study & advance in career in the same office or elsewhere.

may be he has written the exams many a times and failed to clear it, so he is ashamed of giving that as the reason.

the boss might not like him to come up.

if he says you are sick, they might ridicule him as .........

he might be a hero at home and a zero in office.

nobody would stop him when he cites his child is not well.

these are petty issues. discusss with him and say not to ive this excuse again.

there ends the problem.

OR A BETTER SOLUTION:

bring your MIL's & SIL's and keep them with you.

you will have head aches & he can say his mom isn't keeping well.

lovetubb, i think you are over -reacting.Men do that a lot ,you must have seen in movies,tv.Its common,plus he had a purpose (positive - exams study) for lying.So its okay.
You are too protective,i guess.

Please dont take it to heart, He preparing for exams is for the future of the entire family and he had to cook up a reason for his boss, try not to be to sentimental let go and be happy

maybe you could call him the hookey player of the day
First of all try to find why he did not tell his real intention about taking off from work for such a long time.Maybe he thought you would not understand.Maybe some problem in office which he may feel delicate to tell you.Actually this is a common problem for us wives.The men think we will not understand why they take off like that.I mean suppose we too decide one day to take off from our housework and go away somewhere without telling them I can imagine the panic buttons being pressed.Maybe somewhere in the institution called marriage husband and wife start taking each other for granted ,our importance in our husband's life too gets a little diluted.
The best thing for you is to swallow your anger and try to be patient(tough i know) and get to the bottom of the truth.Maybe talking calmly to each other may help to understand the situation better so next time he dosen't do such mistakes.
