Default How many of you ask your DH to help you while dressing up?

I have seen some women are very comfortable asking their DH for help while dressing like holding the saree pleats etc and the couples who do that mostly turn out to be very understanding couples. Share your opinion or your experience.

Actually, I have a funny one. I have a pair of cargo shorts, where the pockets in the back get thoroughly wrinkled up in the wash. And most of the time I walk out the door and forget to fix them. Looks really silly like I have two wads of crinkled material attached to my bottom! But lucky for me if my hubby is around because he always remembers to fix the pockets for me.

Also I have a pretty satin blouse with a very high neckline. It's easy to put on, but for some reason impossible to get out of! Literally I'm stuck in it! Even if I manage to get my arms free, my head gets stuck inside. Again, lucky I have my hubby to help me pull it off my head!

You should definitely try, it’s a good way to get your DH’s attention or as my wife calls it Getting Domesticated.

Are you sure it’s not a trick to get your DH attention

GiJoe

Lovely thread....

When I started writing I felt a bit shy or silly or quite blushing....yeah my husband helps me alot in dressing...and I too do the same for him...we keep picking each others outfits...and buy with each others opinions ..for salwar/ sarees which have some thing like a tie a knot or put saree pleats..he does it for me...that too with all love he doesnt rant or complain that he had to do it...aaah god..such things we wont pay so much attention.. some how might be we take it for granted as we do it all the time...literally all the time....thank you....it was really nice to write and have those happy feelings.....

Lovely, honest replies.

My husband too helps me a lot while dressing up. He does the usual arranging the pleats properly.
He pins my pallu at the right place when I am not able to do it well.
He puts the clasp on my chains/bracelets so that I don't have to struggle trying to do that.
He picks out any stray threads etc that may hanging out on my saree/dress.
When I wear salwar, at times the drawstring on the pyjama gets knotted. My husband patiently unties it each time.

My husband enjoys doing all this, and I certainly feel that these small things are what keep a relationship rocking.

I must talk about my son too. I am kind of bulky. So my soon-to-be-12-year-old son paints my toenails. And he loves doing that.

Nice thread dear.

My DH too helps me in adjusting saree pleats, dupatta, etc. but he has a careless attitude about his dressing. so I always keep picking outfits for him.

Hi Hat,

Your son is sooo sweet yaar.

yea, if i ask my dh, he will definitely help me. but i dont wear too much of sarees. so that way, pleats n stuff holding doesnt come into the picture. and when i wear, mostly he is not around... but he does give his opinion while buyin clothes. infact, before wedding, he and i chosed my entire western wear together. nice modern, daring sexy clothes for a abroad HM.. but the HM did not happen :(

..Really blushing while typing this..yes of-course...At times when i am tying a cotton saree or a new saree i ask him to help me with the pleats..Tie up the criss-cross knots in slawar..and so on..Likewise we suggest (though don't force) what to wear or how to present ourselves..
