Do they still stitch blouses with buttons on the back, I thought that was out of fashion.

I take help from my husband too.

I admit I do not know how to wear saree properly. He knows how to do it. So,
sometimes, he will also do a different style :)

Hi
My husband has no dressing sense what so ever and maybe I am too independent ,I just ask him if a certain color looks bad on me.

Good for you ladies whose husbands puts the saree pleats and even nailpolish.

If I ask my husband to do that he will say I am not a girl so I don't know how to do those !!

Talking Re: How many of you ask your DH to help you while dressing up?

I had bought a fancy blouse a little while before my wedding. This blouse has strings at the end of both sleeves to be tied. When my sis was helping me tie them, and my dad commented, "so, its gonna be Arun's job after wedding". And it has indeed been so after wedding. My DH does that quite religiously, that is tying the knots . And I love wearing sari in every available opportunity, and DH is the pleat-setter :)

To top it, he tries to wear most closely matching shirt/pant to suit my dress when we go out. I try to do this as well, when he is ready first. Hi5!

In the early years of our marriage, meaning, in the last century, my husband used to help me with saree pleats if the saree was slippery or cotton. Really speaking, not much help or maybe I didn't tell him what to do clearly. When the kids came along and were small, I was happy if he could just keep them away for 15 min while I get dressed. Now, the kids are older, and I am happy if he keeps me and kids waiting less than 15 minutes in the car as he goes to the bathroom one more time or checks something online before we go out. I mostly switch on the car, and play soothing songs.

I still need his help with bracelets that come with intricate clasps. Thank God for these things, as they, well, bring us "closer", esp. if he doesn't have his glasses on.

Yes he does help me with the back zips and knots. I don't wear any necklase or bracelets so that's out of question. With saree pleats or pin ups he is bad at it so i've stopped asking him for help. And i can manage it very well so don't have to trouble him and waste time. One thing he really likes to help me is wearing formals for my office or business meetings. He is very particular about it and will not let me out unless i'm perfectly dressed with proper accessories and make up.
But overall i'm comfortable asking him to help more than my SIL or MIL even when they are around.
And mee too help him with the tie and in shirt. In fact i have to coz he takes more time with the tie and in than bath and breakfast together perfectionist

So conclusion we both enjoy it thoroughly.

Just forgot to add you really start some nice threads. Keep it up

Vaidehi
