Default how much is acceptable....

hi
how much level of interference is acceptance from relatives into our family.be it you are married or not....
am a straight forward person, can easily blast off others and tell them not to get into my business for ever.
but , dont want to ruin the relations completely, for the sake of my kids as i dont want them to end up having no one.

I am like you rojaa. Though it doesn't take me much time to study a person and his/her motives but then I keep it to myself and if and only if it goes to extreme situation (I haven't had any extremes till date) then I can tell on face. Really, me too, I don't want my kids to grow up without relations.
After all life is all about how you pull things together. Today, I am enjoying all aunts and uncles is not because they were saints, it is because how my parents dealt with them ducking and dodging at some of the worst situations.
There was a turnout of record number of people at my wedding and all that credit goes to my parents. Not that they had pleasant experiences with everyone but they learned to ignore things which really did not harm them directly....VERY PRACTICAL....they were!!
They never allowed anyone to take them for a jolly ride when it comes to finances because we were middle income family with 3 kids at home and out of that 2 girls too!!

I want to be like them. Unless and until it doesn't harm my finances I will nod my head even if someone declares I am a fool.
I know I am not!..Let them be happy but I need people for my kids too....right??
Sometimes so relatives gift me something totally worthless but then even if it hurts I tell myself...Forget it...you can always donate it if you don't like and someone really needy can use it. That comforts me.
