| Hi there, i do agree with wat krishnamma said that if a wife talks to her family over the phone the husband thinks that they are planning a conspiracy against him (or his family) it happened to me as well in the initial days of my marriage but now my hubby is well settled and doesn't care much if i talk to my family. well let me come to the point now, i work in a small shop here in uk watever i earn i deposit in the bank and the tips which i get every week i set it aside in a small container which my hubby knows abt and i've ordered him not to touch it and he obeys me like a very gud husband.that money i can use when we go to india to buy gifts or in some other way bt the point is it will really come to our rescue when we need cash. |

| Hello All In my home, we planned the expenses for a month First we send the money for the housing loan this will be the huge amount in a month. At any cost we wont compromise this commitment then the house rent is next huge amount and taxes etc. Groceries Veggies and all we get it thru my husbands debit card, We dont keep cash more than 10 pounds at home. My husband every month he gives 30 pounds. I wont spend this cash, when any emergencies like functions for our relatives and friends at the time we use the money. Sometimes I will buy gold coins from my savings (4gm of gold). We use this gold coins for the relatives functions. It will be helpful at these times, we realise the cash when we need money . Thanks and Regards Lakhsmi |

| Am not surprised by the thread.. Unfortunately I have met personally some who are treated in not-the-right way. Not everyone's into an ideal marriage. One of my friends circle (both working), but still cannot spend anything on her own, since the money has to be deposited on his account every bimonthly (as and when cheque comes in) Can you believe that????? this I am talking about this generation, people !!! So it happens.. you got to do what you can to get yourself recognized. As someone said earlier, if your husband is understanding and bit reluctant, give him confidence that you can handle the homefront and dont make plans with the entire amount, save something before you start and work with the remaining $$ left.
