    Hi,

I saw a different thread on divorce impact on child.

But, if, Once you decide to divorce anyway, what to tell your child. Suppose the child is being raised by a single mom and father doesnt visit at all/visit very rarely 1. What do you tell your chld when he asks for father.?
2.At what age can they understand the concept of 'not having a father'?
3.In Indian schools, are they bullied by other children ( or even adults) for being the kid of divorced parents?
    4. Can a grandfather fill the gap of not having a father?

The age of the child in qn is 2 yrs

Whats your experience? At the verge of taking some big decisions in life. Your opinion could affect the decision!!
    Please help

    Yes having grandfather does help.
About indian school thats difficult to answer. In indian metro cities divorce is becoming normal.I dont think so that can be a reason to get bullied at school.
Choose school carefully.check school reputation ,teachers before you admit your kid there.
I am not sure what to tell your son about divorce.Let other more experienced ladies cheap in.

It is important to tell the child that the divorce is not his/her fault, to always be neutral/positive when talking about the other parent, arrange (if possible) that the child can have Access to the parent.
