Dear Selvi, Congrat on your baby. Here are a list of things to take: 1. Change of clothes for you when you are discharged. In the hospital, most likely they will give you only their gowns to wear. 2. Baby clothes ( again for wearing when you bring the baby home) 4. All your toileteries. 5. Sanitary napkins( the hospital will provide this also, but i was more comfortable with my own) 5. Blanket or sleep sack for the baby when you bring the baby home 6. new born diapers ( again the hospital will give you a new baby pack, including daipers) but i took some just in case. Other than this, if you want you can take a few books to read or music or something. Good luck with delivery. Vandhana

Hi Selvi, Looks like Vandhana has covered almost everything. I just add a few more to the list... 1. Infant car seat - I see you live in the US. It is better to take this to drive the baby home! 2. Take some snacks for yourself - after long hours of labor you would feel hungry, though they give in the hospital it is better to take that you already preferred eating. (My sis was feeling good to have snacks that she is used to than what was given in the hospital!) 3. Take nursing bras and maternity underwears that you are most comfortable with. Good luck to you for a safe delivery.

hai selvi, congrats and best wishes for a safe delivery. In India it is different , so i was not able to give you tips. Actually, my son did not give me time to plan, he just wanted to test me how able I am. He was born just when I was 7 months pregnant. Hope you have time to get ready. Don't get tensed, I was only joking. Feel relaxed and enjoy the labour pain. I did that. Do not panick and follow the dr's advice. Let us know when your child is born. Best of luck and warm welcome to the yet to be born. varloo
