hi krishnamma,

i need a tip from u. i got some ghee from india few months back it got old now and smells bad also it tastes bad so i cannot use it for the food stuff, b'cos where ever i add that the dish also smells bad. so i thought i will use it to light the lamp for swami even there it doesn't stand for a long time it goes of as it becomes more thick. i tried liquidating and then lit the lamp even then it stands for a less time. i donot want to waste the stuff. give me a good tip to make use of that ghee. thanx in advance.

Hi shree,

you can light the lamp that is all. because what ever dish you prepare with that will have the bad smell in that.

one small suggestion, generally when we make ghee from butter, if we put a hand full of 'drumstick leaves' in that it will give you good smell. why dont you try that with this? take a big spoon of ghee and melt it and fry some 'drumstick leves' in that and remove those leaves. then taste the ghee. let us see the result.

try and give me a feed back. ok ya?for your post.

hi krishnamma,

thank u for the tip, but unfortunately we don't get the drumstick leaves here even in frozen. anyways let me also think of something else. my friend suggested me to mix the gingelly oil and ghee and try to light the lamp. she asked me to do a sample first. am thinking of doing that. let me know if u find anything . thanks in advance.
