Hi krishnamma !

Thanks for posting nice tips.

For Grocery items when ever any items gets over i list it down immediately so that even ever i go to the shopping i just carry that list with me. Even i include the items which are are still in kitchen but will be over with 8-10 days. So that there is no need of going again for purchasing.

Regards
Prachi

Hi Ladies,

I want to post some more tips who are single and trying to cook of their own. You can see some small tips and easy recipes from my son's thread. Here I am giving the link also. Please give your ideas for quick and easy break fast and lunch. ok?

here is the link.

Innovative bachelor cooking

1. Now I came to know that in Hawkins they are putting small cookers from 1/2 lt . so get one as per your requirement.

2. Now a days you can get small gas stove, attached with a small cylinder for around Rs. 1,000/= in India. You can get that and use. No need for ration card or any documents.

3. get one nonstick dosa tawa and small idly stand. ( we can keep this idly stand in the 3 lt. cooker)

In India we cant depend on electric stoves. If you are living in any other country you can go for electric stove.

So stove and cooker are ready. So from my next post let me put the items which have to purchase for cooking. bye for now.

First, let me put some tips for break fast items.

1. You can get one Bread Toaster electrical one or gas toaster. Gas toster is best for India. So that you can make bread toast easily. With cheese lets, jam or with some curry. ( I think you may be knowing how to make toast) And have toast and orange juice.

2. You can have maggi or macroni or oats also.

3. Or if you want pongal, keep pongal in cooker.

4. Always keep dosa dough, in fridge. So that you can make idly or dosa immedietly.
In Madras and Bangalore we can get wet dosa dough in shops. They are best to prepare both idly and dosa.

Now a days you can get small idly stand and you can make 20 small idly and you can eat them.

Krishnaamma,

Can you please say me how to save greenchilly paste for more days. I usually grind them by adding little salt and keep it in fridge. The paste will be good for 15 days. Can i save it for a month or so?

How can i save Green chillies for more no. of days? I cut the edges and keep them in a box and keep in fridge. But after few days, they will become spoiled.

Please give me the tips.

Thank you.

Hi Reeta,

Welcome to this thread. You can keep any paste for more than a month,if you keep them in freezer.
Regarding green chilly, if you keep in freezer you cankeep them fresh for more than 6months.

Yes you can store green chillies in India too. But the fridge must be a FROST FREE FRIDGE.

In this attached picture you are seeing Green Chillies which I kept 35 days before. I think you can see ice on it. After you remove from the fridge, immediately you cut (it will be some what hard and you can even break it with your fingers.) and use for sambar or any thing.
