    Hi ladies,

Sometime back, I saw a blog (not remembering which one now) where a few ladies took up a knitting project and it was fun to see each one of them post their final product there.

They had made the same sweater, same design but each had chosen their own color.

"It was fun" they said and they were motivating one another to finish the project.

Now that is a good thing because most of us have a few incomplete projects :hide:

    So anyone interested?
We can take up a shawl / stole / doily or anything not in the advanced level. This way many can join.

If many show interest, then we can start. please state your preference.
    1. Knitting or crochet?
    2. What item do you want to make.
    3. Post the stitch pattern / Item you want to make. So others can decide whether they can join.

    Anita. :)

    what is in my wip:
stoles are what i am doing right now.
    1. knitting - stole with a single line that gives a lacy look.. just a inch or two..long way to go.
    2. crochet- a pineapple design based stole again.. some few inches done..long way to go.
    3. crochet- a simple v style lace effect..

apart from this have a purse that was started and is left abandoned.

if any body wants to know the knitting pattern or the crochet one to join..do tell me will post it ..but give me a day or two or three.:hide:

Thanks Shanvy and machan. Was very glad to see both of your responses

I have a couple of stoles that are wip...
    1. Black simple v crochet
    2. Lilac /light maroon color stole - fan pattern.

Shanvy could you please post pineapple pattern when possible. I was able to lay my hands on pineapple doily patterns. Could not find one for stole.

So yesterday I ordered this book. http://www.amazon.com/Complete-Book...5841&sr=8-1&keywords=Complete+book+of+crochet

I will be able to get my claws on it on Monday. waiting waiting....

I will post photos of my 2 stoles ASAP.

    Shanvy,
sometime back, I tried a broomstick stole. But it looked messy and I ripped off the whole thing after doing 3 lines. Recently I chanced upon your broomstick stole. It looked neat. :thumbsup might give it a try some time again.

    Any tip???:bonk

(btw, Shanvy, teacher was looking for you in another thread yesterday).

Once I get the book, I will be able to post photos of stitches if anyone is interested. :)

    Hmmm interesting thread.

I too would love to join. But am settling down after some roaming about here and there :biggrin2:. Will decide what to do and will certainly join this thread after a few days. Until then I will keep peeping in here for ideas and motivation.

Well, for me its crocheting :)

You are welcome to peep in here any time saraswathi. :)

    Do join us soon.

We all can either start a new project or at least motivate one another to finish the ones that were started (about which we conveniently developed selective amnesia later) ;-)

Not very sure about the black one. Chose this pattern because black will not be very easy on the eyes. But having doubts now. So m
ight change the pattern. Your inputs welcome. :)

    Nice thread Anitap......

I am currently making a beanie cap for my son, but am feeling lazy doing it further and having most of my time on IL.

I also want to make a stole but since it is too big and will take a lot of time i am hesitant. :bonk:

Need to gather few yarns first. Will surely start. :cheers

Will look for them and post the links here.

As far as I have seen, the thin ones are usually worn with jeans and tops.

But some broader stoles / shawls are worn even for churis.

Let us wait for some fashionista to drop by and save us from committing fashion faux pas :)
