Craft work:iris folding procedure and patterns

    Pattern Notes: Cut your strips extra wide for numbers 1-4 on this pattern. The collar on this pattern uses corner folds. After lining the strip up with one of the lines in numbers 3 and 4 of the pattern, fold the strip back at about a 90 degree angle to line it up with the second line on the pattern for that number. See the corner folds link above for more info. Sew or glue buttons to the shirt front when you are done with the folding if you'd like.

    Color 1: 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d, 1e, 4, 7

    Color 2: 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d, 5, 8,

    Color 3: 3, 6, 9

    Do the left side first, then the right. Use holographic paper to cover the 'iris' opening.
