yes had a great time. She initially did not have the patience to do it. I told her that you need lot of patience to perfect. she is now hooked and enjoys.

Srivatsan was watching cricket as i told you he will do... and has drawn all nuances of cricket..like stumped, wide and all those...he has been reading autobiography of an yogi.

Thanks for all the encouragement. it really boosts up her confidence. i want her to learn the traditional way of embroidery before the kits.

Your daughter's embroidery is beautiful for a beginner. Has she learnt how to embroider without a knot? That is one thing I still can't do well enough!! Good for her that she is hooked onto it, she will never have a problem spending her free time now or later in life!

Her sketches are good too. Haven't had a look at the others though. If I am not wrong, she can probably loosen her pencil grip a bit. That is what I felt after seeing her English maiden sketch. You might want to double check with someone. But she is really doing well for her age. Please do convey this to her.

Charu's drawings are really good. In the 2nd one that is the lady one she needs to learn how to fold a flower near the folds of the skirt, Hope I am right, I think I can tell her this As I have seen all her drawing.
And about the needle work is it her 1st attempt if so it is really very good for the 1st time. As she will keep doing them I know the neatness will improve but still it is super.

thank you. yes, my idea to teach her embroidery this vacation was to give her things that can help as stress busters as she grows up. She used to make knots.. i taught her the trick of removing those knots and also manipulating thembut now she is careful and does not get them.

thanks for the sketches. the english maiden was in ball point. i wanted to post another of her pencil sketches and posted this by mistake. she thought she could get away with mistakes when using the ball point, I told her that to draw with pen, takes lot of confident strokes. so maybe she will take cue from all your suggestions.

Thanks for your observations. the 2nd one is by pen, she could not correct her mistakes..I told her the same..you h ave every right to correct her mistakes..after all it is all your encouragement that motivates her... the needlework is her first attempt..
