No idea on the cream colour... Now a days they are doing it on other colours. But when we think of kerala saree is always cream colour.

Kerala saree is actually the modern version of settum mundum. Set n Mundu is a two piece saree considered to be the traditional costume of women in Kerala .It is handwoven and always in offwhite colour with nice borders in kasavu or in other colours. Kerala Saree is inspired from this traditional costume and that's why I think it is in offwhite colour which makes it very beautiful and unique...
