Hi sweetdxb
thanks a lot for the wonderful oppertunity. I ahve a question regarding family visa. Heard that the government is gonna increase the salary limit to 10,000 aed inorder to get eligible to sponsor the family. Is the law already implemented. Or still on discussion.do you know anythig about it. If its so then it will be very difficult for many of indian families living here.
Regards
ani

Hi Platinumsweet,

The proposal of salary cap to AED 10,000 for sponsoring families are under National Council review and it will be implemented soon, not in a couple of months but most likely within 6 -12 months.

Majority of the expatriates are against this move, even though current AED 4000 limit is too low, the proposed AED 10,000 is too high either. May be AED 7000 would be more reasonable figure, because at least that much money would be required to maintain a family in UAE.

Interestingly, there is a recent development from Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Dubai Police Chief, who said the sponsorship system should be abolished as it burdens Emiratis with unnecessary responsibilities. Widely opposed by the Business Leaders.

Important Info for working House Wives in Dubai.

In a recent development, A Dubai Court fined an Indian housewife AED 10,000 who worked for a company while still on her husband's sponsorship. The Manager of the said company was fined for AED 50,000 for hiring illegal workers.

So when you start working with any company even though you are under your husband's sponsorship, the company should obtain approval from the Labour Ministry and DNRD and must provide you a labour card.

Good Morning,

You don't need any Labour card for working from Home, Be careful you should not do any marketing job, because if any problem arise and customer complain then it will be a problem. Jobs like Data Entry, filing etc you dont have any issues doing from home.
