Default Moving back to Kerala....

Hello Everyone,

My husband and I are planning to relocate to Kochi, Kerala by the summer of 2010 - the latest!! This past summer we even checked out some of the schools in Kochi-Kerala and Bangalore for our daughters. The only problem we are facing is finding a good position in the Indian career world.

My husband is an Engineer and I’m and Insurance Examiner/Auditor – both working for the state. I have a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Management/Economics. Right now I am finishing up my MBA in International Business. Although I grew up in NY from the age of 2, I’m fluent Malayalam.

Can anyone help guide me in finding a reputable firm, sending out resumes, getting me in touch with companies and so on? Is there anyone out there in the same boat?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Manaswini

Did you try putting your profile in Monster.com? That could help.

Good luck!!

Manaswini.. I am so jealous of you!!! Ente DH inte aduthu ithu parajnal pulli enne thinnu kalayyum.. his malayalam sucks..Big Laugh maybe that's why..

Hopefully SmartCity will come soon, but until then, I would look into Cochin Shipyard, banks are excellent (there's an HSBC on MG Road) and also a CitiBank.

Cochin University is also a good place to look for non teaching positions, Lakeshore Hospital and Amritha oke business sideil joli kittum. Othri construction companiesum undalo, Oceanus, Parthasaradhy .. so many..

I have totally looked into this.. Big LaughDH wouldn't even budge!

Thanks Charu and MrsV....yes I have registered with monsterindia and have looked into some banks in Kochi. But I need an inside guy/girl who can pass around my resume. I have a couple of contacts who are eager to help but just want to leave all my avenues open.

Yea, I don't think I would be too keen on this idea if I was not comfortable with the language...it does play a big part.

Later girls....bye...and thanks again for your help.
