Hi friends I have a baby girl now 7 months old, i use vendha velichenna or olive oil for massage. I know the preparation of vendha velichenna but can somebody tell me how to make manjal ittu kaachiya venda velichenna (virgin coconut oil with turmeric) which i heard is best for baby skin. Also is it kasthuri manjal or normal turmeric that is used for this purpose. Thanks in advance
Hi Anamtvm, This is how my friend make velichenna for her baby. Take 6 coconuts. Grate the coconut , extract the coconut milk using a mixie. Take an uruli and pour the coconut milk into it. Add kasturi manjal. Keep stirring until the milk gets thickened and you get brown coconut paste. When the oil gets extracted, take the vessel from the fire and allow it to cool. Sieve the warm mixture using cheese cloth into a jar. Hope it will be useful.
