| Hello Indu, You want to put on weight? Go on reverse of dieting and I am sure you can see the results. Eat all sweet items, bakery items,fried goodies,lots of ghee, curd , chocolates and I can go on and on ----------list of goodies which I sure can't eat without worrying about my waist line. Now now....don't tell me, I don't like sweets and fried items. Somehow chocolates don't agree with me etc etc.O.K? I have seen that people who generally lose weight and tend to maintain the same are those who have a natural aversion to the above listed items. They don't have to attempt anything. I tend to put on weight even if I drink water. Poor me.... Indu, please try and let me know how far you were successful. Regards, Abha. |

| Hi Abha This is not at all true tht people who hate Sweets and choclates tend to loose weight.I m one such solid example.I never loved Sweets ,and chocaltes were also big no for me since my childhood.Still u know after my delivery i have gained weight and m trying to loose it for past two years Priti Dear Indu Regarding your weight gaining.I think you should get yourself checked by doctor.If you are eating healthy and leading good lifestyle then you should not loose weight so fast.One more thing .How is your family history about body constitution .If your parents are thin then it may be normal for you to be like that.But in case better to check with a doctor, if you feel drastic drop in your weight. If everything is fine with your health Then u need not worry about weight gaining part.weight is not the ideal unit to measure the healthiness of a person.Try to be healthy and consider yourself to be lucky few. | Dear Priti... Thanks for your advice... As rightly said by you even i have a plan of consulting my doctor regarding this weight loss. Regarding parents weight they are quiet healthy and normal not thin like me... I use to cook and also take healthy foods only... Though i have a habit of skipping my breakfast manytimes.. (I personally know its not good) I ll say one thing for last few months i did't care for this low weight at all.. Now everybody(hubby, friends, parents) started asking me you are not taking care of your health becoming thin and thin.... Then one day when i stood before the mirror i am able to find the difference in me.... then only started to think of gaining weight.... as a result i am posting my worries here and getting your useful advice and info's Thank you friend.... | Dear Indu, I am on the same boat. However I am trying to put on some weight. I think I must work hard. But I am little bit lazy to eat. Specially my breakfast. That is one main reason. Now that I have another friend. Lets do it together. Since you were on 52-53, loosing 10kg is really a lot. I think your ideal weight is in that range and you must at least target for 50. Together let's do this. 1. We won't skip our breakfast. 2. We will drink milk at least once a day. (I am taking twice sometimes) 3. Eat something at every two hours, but not junk food. 4. We don't want to eat junk, lets eat 2 fruits a day 5. Eat nuts (I am being specific 10 almonds/cashews a day) 6. Two times rice and at least three times vegetables Peanut butter has protien and has lots of calories and is healthy for us who try to gain weight. I eat peanut butter , a tablespoon at least with two slices of wheat bread. When you buy peanut butter check for the sodium content, buy the one with less sodium. I remember the regular 'GIF' has 140mg / tbsp. So I don't buy that. Look for the one with less than 50mg/tbsp. I never used to like sweets and cakes. I have started eating cakes when I started to bake my own cake. My weight is now 45. My Dr. says I am healthy , just eat. | The best way to put on weight is to hog like a pig. Just eat on whatever you can lay your hands on. But, remember, to sit idle. Eat a heavy dinner and stay put. Eat a heavy lunch, eat fruits immediately after lunch, eat more nuts, eat deep fried foods. In a nutshell eat well and sleep well. Try to minimize your work load. May be you burn more calories than you consume.

| hi am too facing the same problem... am 26 and single i weigh 42kgs but look thinner then that... eating lots of sweets n chocolets may not help everyone to gain weight.. as i love chocolats n ice creamzz i literally live on it but never put ne weight... some say am luck... does any one know wat we need to do to put of some muscle volume.... ne particular excercise or diet plan... noel |
