Hi experts,

I have always wanted to ask these questions:

1. Is it difficult to lose weight after 30's and especially after having kids?

2. Does eating lots of wheat products during dieting increase the body heat? If so, what could be done to reduce this. My biggest problem to discontinue diets is im not able to stick to wheat based diet which rises my body heat and get lots of pimples etc.

I would appreciate your reply.

  1. It's not difficult to lose weight after you cross 30 years of age, provided you follow good eating and exercise patterns.
  2. In nutritional science, we do not believe in foods causing 'heat' or 'cold'. Whole wheat or any other whole grains can be eaten in your daily diet.

Malathy,
This is a great opportunity. I have already registered in the website.
My query is, though i am on strict diet for the past 3 weeks, but not even a pound I lost to be frank. initially I thought i am losing but may be water i lost, but now I regained back. I hardly ate between 400-600 calories a day during thsi period, atmost fruits and vegetables with a leastcarbohydrates intake. I am really wondering, how come these dieting is not acting on my body properly.
I am 5'3 with 27 years age having a kid and with a sedentary life style. My weight is 70 Kg and I want to have normal weight for my height by April 1st.
Please suggest a nutritional diet chart for my height and weight coresponding to my weight goal.
Thanks
Hema

Hey there,

It is difficult to give nutritional charts without getting more information from each of you two on your fitness, eating and lifestyle habits.

There are two options that we can suggest. Try the Auto Diet Generators which are being given free to IL members as part of our Silver Package.

Ideally sign up for either our Gold or Platinum Packages which are avbl at a 20% discount during the contest and you will get a personalized Diet Prescription and live access to our Expert Dietitians.

Wish you the best. We know it is not easy to lose weight and we are here to help.

Hi Alpa,
Nice to know more about your diet and fitness routine. Here is some brief information about whole grains..
Whole grain products include breads, pastas, and cereals that are made with 100% whole grain and not with white processed flours. Whole grains are made from the whole kernels of grain, that is both the inside part of the grain and the outer covering. Processed flours remove the outer covering which gives a lighter texture and taste to baked goods but removes a lot of the nutrition and fiber.
There are other sources for whole grains besides breads and pastas. Whole grain foods and flours include 100% whole wheat, brown rice, corn, and oatmeal.
