Bambli,

Its really good to feel hungry..its OK to eat..you have to eat well during periods..so you will have enough energy when all the waste is gone out..so don't worry eat well.

Coming to exercising during periods: Ask your husband to Google for it and make him to read as many articles he can..Exercise helps in reducing your cramping during periods..I had gone thru this experience..I;m kind off a person..if I hear word PERIODS i used to feel sick...even though my bleeding was not heavy..all my friends use to tease me..but after I met a gym trainer who wanted me to exercise during periods..I used tell her NO..she just said try for once and see..If you don't feel good..don't do it..I gave a thought and tried..I'm so happy that I started..even before starting I searched and read all articles from web..and them made my mind to go for it..

So it really you..try it..if don't feel good..then don't do..but I'm sure it will help you..but remember don't do weights and heavy work out..just do like 30 mins of decent level of workout..or walking..whatever is good..

try it..You will like it..Now I workout even during my periods..after that I met so many ladies who does workout during their periods..so I guess there is no harm..try it..

I guess it is oK..but my suugesstion to you would be eat fruits whenever you feel hungry instead of glucose water..from fruit you get glucose,vitamins and it will make fill your hunger..always remember not to have water when you are hungry..

mine is just reverse to yours . during my periods , i will be having a very poor appetite. so , dont worry! enjoy food on these days!
if your periods become lighter on 3 rd day , you can do a mild workouts on that day. basically it is a question of our comfortability only not that it will weaken our ovum. i skip doing exercise on those 3 days & will resume it on 4 th day as it gets stopped on that day.

Akila,I am there with you on this...I too don't believe in diets,just eat right and exercise right.That's it for me.

I may not post in this thread often,but my support is there for your thread.Right now I am following Jillian Michaels 30 day shred DVD-ofcourse I don't believe I will shred away in 30 days,but I wanted a more strenuous work out and I found this.Just 27 minutes of workout daily,works fine for me.

Hello everyone

There are sure a lot of tips on weight loss. I decided to reduce my weight by 15kgs last month. I did look in to a lot of weight loss programs and recipes..but the one I am practically following is just cooked veges..
1 carrot, 2 onion, 10-12 beans, 1 cup peas, small cauliflower and some salt (I use low sodium salt)....everything straight in to water with some haldi and boil them ...when they are 3/4 done...i just add a tsp of fruit vinegar and some pepper pwd and have it.
U add more water ...u can take the water as veg clear soup...or take more veges for ur main course. I take 1 cup tea with low cal sugar and btw...I dont get compromised with my milk intake.....I take 300ml to 400ml skimmed milk in intervals....and also some cucumber with this in the night.
I dont know how good this is ...but practically it helped me looking 2kgs in 1 month.
please comment !!!

i am 23 yrs old..i have pcos.i am 73 kg now....i need to reduce 15 kg..pl help me...wat diet shall i follow.

Bambli Thanx so much for ur kind words, and i will focus on my exams.

Alpa I will start to excercsie once i have finished my exam preperation...but i will eat healthy througout and drink lots of water, and i will get it cheked up in a month...thanx so much for ur words.

Lavanya I love how much u excercise keep it up

Pooja It seems like an alright idea, make sure u onli have the soup for dinner, and eat healthy througout the day, have a look at what we have been posting, and create your diet plan along the lines, but excercise is a must for weight loss, so excercise aswell that way, wen u start eating your normal food, the weight wont jump back on.

Sadhana Ofcourse u can join us, just post your diet chart up and we will help u on where u are going wrong, make sure u excercie properly and drink enough water, dont be lazy and make excuses, u have to do it okay.... All the best.

diet chart for 05.06.09 , friday./

6.30 - a glass of warm water
7.30 - a cup of coffee
8.30 - 1 alu parotta with cauliflower sabzi
1.30 - 1 cup rice with greens & curd
4.30 - nuts & mango
7.30 - .5 cup channa mint pulao with carrot raitha

1 ltr water
morning & evening walks
no exercise , have to do it today

dont worry ! everything will become alright after sometime , & now first concentrate on your exams & then go for tests!

iam going to take both proportionately glucosewater & fruits , let me try out some new things & do some research in it . a time pass.

Thanks Sunitha. Glad that u have found a workout routine that u like and works for you. many people just start a workout form that they don't enjoy and eventually stop. I try to vary my cardio by jogging around the reservoir, stationary bike, treadmill, power walk, do skipping, and play ball with my daughter. it is fun and i don't get bored. I also do strength training both at gym and also at the park on days i don't go to the gym, so i don't use not going to the gym as an excuse not exercise.

I hv watched Biggest looser on hallmark and I think Julian is great.... the prg is inspiring, and i really like Bob.

enjoy ur workouts today and every day..... it helps long term

You have asked this question on a lot of threads LOL

My golden rule for weight loss is INTENSE EXCERCISE + STRICT DIET = WEIGHT LOSS.

so u must excercise okai? I can post soem links to online videos which u can do at home or u can join the gym if it possible aim for 30 mins to an hr a day okai? Also try do some pranyam there are some links for that aswell.

For your diet, have a Big breakfast, Medium Lunch and light dinner. Reduce oil in cooking, avoid sweets and fried food, drink 2-3L of water.In between meals have helathy snack such as fruits and little nuts, avoid coffee, try drinking green tea.

If u do what i said u can loose all your weight By mid September, so stay focused everyday and dont make excuses and u have all of us for support.

and post whatever u eat, how long u excercise and your water intake here and we will help u.

Im 79kg i need to loose around the same as u, so dont worry we r in it togther. Just for background are u married, living alone or with parents? Are u studying or working?
