Hi,all!!!
I am a new member here.
Actually, the main reason I joined this site is to find some sort of guidance for my own weight loss.

I am 5 ft tall and weigh 69kgs.
I have started dieting, and I am on my 3rd week now, I started on 70.5 kgs, which means, I have lost around 1.5kgs in 2 weeks.

I have not been doing much physical activities, I go for walking around 3 times a week, but that too light walking. I need to reach my ideal weight of 50 kgs.

I have an important event coming up and I am hoping if I could reach around 63 kgs first by 31st of Jan 09.

I would be happy to be a part of all of you here who are determined to lose weight.

Hi Pretti....

dw u will get on track slowly, just dnt give up okay? and i wuldnt suggest the juice diet or anything because its too harsh on ur body..u will only loose water weight that is weight that u will regain once u stop the juice diet...the efficient way to loose weight is to eat healthy =D and only eat fruits at night =D

Hi Lustre moon and Kashvya....we wuld be glad if u joined us =D buh there is one importanat rule...u have to atleast come on once a week and lets us know of your progress....

Tell us abt how ur going to carry out your diet and post ur daily (whenever you can) diet plan okai ladies?

Hi Pink Rubies

I will absolutely abide by those rules

All my life, I have planned for my weight loss umpteen number of times and I have never stuck by. So, this time, I want to come up with a plan such that it becomes an unbreakable day to day habit.

Overall Weight Loss Goal - 20 Kgs

Small Term Goal (STG #1) - Loose 0.5 Kg by Dec 31, 2008
STG #2 - Loose 2 Kgs by Jan 31, 2009

So, marching towards STG #1

Exercise - 10,000 Steps / Day
Pranayama - 10 Mins

Diet
Avoid Sugar and fried foods like a plague

So, here I'm throwing a Challenge for all of Us

Challenge #1 - Dec 22 - Dec 28
No Sugar ( a spoon in coffee/tea allowed - maximum; if u can skip even that - well and good)
No Fried Items
The challenge is now open to all. Record your progress end of day today - 22nd or by tomorrow

Yes, I will definitely follow the rules...no prob :)
So, as I hv said before...I have already started a proper diet and I am on my 3rd week.

My diet in general:
Morning: 1cup of cornflakes + milk
Lunch: Vege + Lean Meat (Chicken/Fish - cooked without oil) + 1 Whole Grain Bread
Dinner: Vege + Lean Meat (Chicken/Fish- cooked without oil) OR Vege Soup
Snacks: Fruits (mostly apples)
Drinks: Water + Green Tea( at least 1 cup daily)

I have stopped coffee totally, and I do not take any sweets/fried food n I try to avoid all the unhealthy food as much as possible.

My Long Term Goal is to lose 20 kgs....that is to reach 50kgs. And I am giving myself enough time for that...maybe by mid-2009.

But, I am trying to reach atleast 63kgs by 31st Jan 09. (Do u all think its possible/healthy enough to reach that goal in such a period of time?)

Anyway, as Kashvya mentioned, I have always wanted to lose weight too.
But, due to my lazyness and of course, lack of discipline nothing really happened. But, this time, I am extremely determined to do it for my own good.

So, ya...

Lustre moon and Kashvya glad to have you on this thread to join us, the more the merrier! I think both of you are going the right way in order to lose weight, just hope i have the determination as everyone else!

Rubies i dropped the juice idea, as you said its harsh!

Yes i suppose eating sensibly and working out will only do the trick!

I will weigh my self 2maro, to post my exact current weight! and keep an update on a weekly basis and post my weight!

hi ladies

am so glad to real all your postings in this thread. i would sugggest one thing try to drink hot water at least 2litres daily it will help you loose weight and have more of salads through out the day for fruits have apples try to avoid bananas, mangoes, chiku or any sugaary based fruits
Red water melon is very good for you, i make fresh juice eeryday morningand drink it before my breakfast and ahour before


try to exercise and join a gym.
