    Good Day! I'm new to Indus Ladies and reading some of the posts in this Keep Fit and Maintain Shape has motivated me to start my own thread

    Member Aishu22 's - My Inspiring Weight Loss Story has insired me to create one thread my track my weight loss journey. If you are reading this post Aishu22, Thank You So Much

    I have always been a plump and "healthy " girl through out my childhood. Only, college and now my career has absolutely turned me into a morbid obese person

    Setting aside my inhibitions, I'm currently 82 Kgs at 5' 3" Tall. I'm married and have no kids at the moment. Though my gynae has assured me that my weight might not hinder me from conceiving, it would defenitely cause pregnancy related problems. I'm assuming these could be high BP, diabetes and so on.

    I have started these weight loss journeys lots and lots of times. But like most resolutions, they have been the most fragile and have always been broken

    However, This time it is going to be different. I'm going to make a difference not just to me and my body but also to all my friends and relatives who care and are concerned for me.

    Here's a toast to my "Fat to Fit" Journey

    All your suggestions, thoughts, help, support are welcome. I would also be pleased in somebody could join me and support me in this struggle

    Weight Loss Goals

    They say " The first step to weight loss" is having a weight loss goal

    I'm going to create a Objective and weight loss goal for Myself

    Objective :- To shed the extra weight and lead a healthy life

    Long Term Goal : - Lose 17 Kgs by Jul 2009 ( To be monitored and redefined per success of the plan )
    Short Term Goal : - Lose 1 kg Aug 17 - Aug 23

    How am I going to achieve this?

    Exercise for atleast 45 Mins everyday
    Exercise Plan

    Warm Up - 5 Minutes
    Brisk Walk - 30 Minutes
    Cool Down / Stretch - 5 Minutes
    Meditate - 5 Mins

    Nutrition

    Eat healthy food like soups / salads / vegetables / fruits
    Eat sufficient qnantity of food ONLY at destined meal times
    6.30 A.M Honey with Warm Water
    7.30 A.M Coffeee
    8.45 A.M Breakfast - Oats or Kellogs Special K Cornflakes with one fruit
    11.45 A.M Tea / Butter milk ( with 2 Marie Biscuits / 1 Fruit)
    1.30 P.M Lunch 4 Rotis & Sabji
    4.30 P.M Coffee & 2 Marie(any other Low Cal Biscuit)
    6.30 P.M Light tiffen
    9.30 P.M Dinner

    Drink 3 Litres of water

    Avoid
    Fried Foods, Maida Foods, Sugar, Sweets, Chocolates, Cakes, IceCream, Biscuits

    Motivation
    Read an inspiring weight loss story
    Track Food eaten/emotion and fitness minutes
    write about weight loss progress in IL

    All the best to your achieving the fitness goal.

    First, get your self assessed for the your weight gain. do you have any health reasons for the weight. if not start....today.

    Dieticians in Chennai?

    Hey Shanvy

    Thanks for the reply

    If I can shed another inhibition, I can boldly state that my "snacking" habits are the main reason for my weight gain

    Though I have not had any formal assessments, would you have a suggestion on where I can get these assessments done?

    Also, would you know of any dieticians in Chennai? I tried searching for Dieticians (especially near Velachery/Guindy/Madippak) thru Just Dial but wasnt successful

    Good to know about your long term and short term goals.Come, gear up and join us, we all are here to join hands with you in this battle.

    Many of us are following kitchuppa's diet in the other thread and post our daily diet and exercise chart.You too can do the same. Try to put one weight loss ticker to your signature which reminds you of the goal.

    Watch out your exercise part which is very important in weight loss.

    Day 1 - Disaster

    For all the planning that I did yesterday, Day 1 was a disaster

    Woke up quite late with no time for a walk. Immediately drank coffee - Forgot about Krishnamma's idea to eat fenu greek and honey / luke warm water

    Ate breakfast and rushed to office. All my planning down the drainsbonk

    Hi Kashvya,

    :-DIt happens to everyone. But dont worry and also dont stop your journey. just start from tomorrow that is all.
    take lots of hot water and have only fruits for dinner. that will do wonders. really we all lost many kgs if few months. and also we are not gaining it back like GM diet. so it is easy and safe to follow 'kitchuppa's diet' so come and join with us like she said, you can see a new young and slim kashvya in July 09.
