Body pain after doing yoga

    Hi,

    I m started to doing yoga for past 1 month. After my yoga class, I m getting full body pain and so tried.

    Pls suggest,
    What I can do to reduce my body pain?

    It might be because your body is not you are used to the workout, it does take a while to get into it. try taking a bath in epsom salts and make sure to drink plenty of water before and after.

    Even i too get body pain..was abt to post in IL
    Good u did.i jus did surya namaskar..whole day my body aches..specially my lower abdomen .then i stopped it..i even felt whether i do it in a wrong way..before my second one i workout in gym..pls help me out

    Thanks @pinkrubies, epsom salt, this is first time I m hearing about it.. will check with local stores here..

    @Bestmom, if you are doing after long gap, start slowly.. like first time 3 times surya namaskar for a week, then improve the count for every 3 days..

    we should not stress our body more when we do yoga.. do it slowly and gradually.

    For body pain, give a massage by applying eucalyptus oil or any other pain relief oil in initial days (better apply it in night and have a good sleep)..

    for lower abdomen pain, for few days it is better to avoid exercise that gives much pressure to ur lower abdomen..

    I used axe brand oil (this widely available in singapore), we can also use some pain relief balm like tiger balm or iodex.. give a good massage yourself to be more effective..

    I also experience a little body pain during yoga..But worse, whenever I do yoga, I experience dizziness and nausea..Find it difficult to proceed with the asanas..This happens during surya namaskar mostly..
    Note: I'm not pregnant and I do not do yoga on a full stomach or empty stomach, I usually try to do yoga after having some coffee/tea/juice/milk and maybe a piece of fruit/biscuit..
    Any suggestions to deal with this?
