Weight loss and toning joureny

    Hi everyone,

    I came back to the forum after 3 years and I don't know how I managed all these days with out reading all the nice suggestions from pretty ladies here.

    The main reason I started this thread is to get some motivation and tips from experienced friends for the work out plan to loose around 12 pounds and tone my legs and thighs.

    I started working out recently. I started it as 3 days a week for now though my original plan is to work out 5 days a week.

    My hieght is 5.4'' and current weight is 140 pounds. My goal weight is 128 pounds (Pre kids weight).

    My goal is not only to loose the weight, I need to tone up my body a little.

    I have been eating fairly healthy though there are some areas that I need to improve on.

    Any one want to join the journey with me? My plan is to track the work out updates in this thread every day so that it will motivate myself and others.

    My workout update for this week is,

    Monday : walk/run for 30 mins (2.75 miles)
    Tuesday: No
    Wednesday: brisk walk for 40 mins (3.124 miles)

    good iam too in the same journey and i have big event coming up in Sept 2nd week want to lose atleast 10 kgs and tone my baby belly ,thigh and arms

    Hi Blessbabydust,

    What are you doing to loose the weight, specially to tone the tighs and armas? I just started running and walking a week ago. I want to know if there are any special work outs to tone the tighs and arms.

    By the way good luck for your jorney to loose weight. Keep us all posted your progress and get us motivated!!!

    hi guys, iam in too.

    I want to reduce my belly which i increased now during vacation , should reduce atleast 2 inches.

    BBD more 10kgs to lose ????

    This is what i do for weight loss :

    Breakfast : Brown rice +curry
    Lunch : salad + roti X 2 + curry
    Dinner : 1 cup full cream milk and one protein meal (like dal soup or chicken tandoori or fish steamed or 2 rotis with curry again )
    Tea : Green tea X 2

    Workout :
    Thighs : alternate days running for 30 mins
    Arms : planks and jumping jacks
    Tummy : russian twist , mountain climbers and plank each 25 sets three times alternate days

    Also i give myself one meal as celebration meal like briyani or small portion of fried items .

    One day i give break . Since iam on ramadan fasting i could do the diet listed above and i do only walking and cardio exercise alternative days for toning .

    Will give the measurement at end of this week .

    good luck sujatha .... Yes i want to lose atleast 5-6 kgs minimum and 10kgs is a wishlist hehehe ... Two years back i was size 14 now size 8-10 aiming for size 6 by september ....

    More slimmer i get ... getting noticed and loads of appreciation which is increasing my self esteem in social world and workplace ... :)

    25th June 2015 :
    Pre dinner : Apricot X 2 , few almonds, 2-3 crackers and an apple
    Dinner : 3 idly + chicken curry + 1 glass of milk

    Workout :

    Coming from size 14 to size 8 is not a small achievment!!!! Congrats and keep going!!!

    I did not go for walk or run yesterday but maintained good diet.

    Breakfast : Oatmeal
    Lunch: FlatBread sandwich
    Dinner: Brown rice with curry and rasam
    Snak: Nuts and tea X 2

    Today,

    Breakfast: Half bagel with fat free cream cheese

    Heading out for 30 min walk at work now.

    I just came back from a 40 mins brisk walk. Walked 2.47 miles in 40 mins.
