    Hi BBD,

What a right timing:) I have read through your previous challenges. I will join you this time. I delivered 3.5 months back and touched my prepregnancy weight. But I have a big tummy which needs to go in, I look like 6 months preggy. Here is my diet,

Morning : Curd with Methi seeds and Curry leaves ( I am losing loads of hair since 3 weeks , so I am taking this )

Breakfast : Any Indian breakfast one bowl + Coffee/Tea (1/2 cup)
Lunch : One bowl cooked lapsi, Sambhar, Rasam, Veggies (Greens + one dry veggie)+ Curd
    Mid evening : Nuts/Fruits Tea+ 2 biscuits
    Dinner : 3 Roti + Sabji
Night - One glass of Milk

I take 2 litres of water and have started 30 minutes exercise since last 2 weeks. I see a alight reduction in tummy, but still a long way to go. I am still breastfeeding, so cant go lower than this on my diet. Hope I get rid of my tummy, I am joining you for the weight loss.

I am happy to join here....

I will be extremely happy to take this challenge as I am on my way to weight loss for a while.

Currently I am not too strict on my diet or exercise as I just reduced the carb, sugar and oil factors in my regular diet, and also started doing some household chores- in addition to my regular office works, and kids. That helps with bending, stretching and sweating works to lose some calories. This also helps me to stay motivated not just for a temporary weight loss plan, but towards a permanent life style change.

I do enjoy junk food, and occasional sweets when and where it is unavoidable, but with time I have almost lost interest in such cravings.

I have already lost more than 10 kgs in 18 months, and I need to lost another 5 or more to be on perfect shape. That is mostly for the toning. So, I do yoga every evening.

Your diet plan seems rigid, but if you could enjoy this plan that would be great.

I too stopped having tea or coffee, but only green tea.

Here are some alternate plans, if this may useful

Grains for breakfast such as boiled grams, chick peas, cow peas etc..etc...
Morning snack one banana or apple or some orange juice without sugar

Rice and curry (home made) for lunch - Portion control is what important.
Brown rice is great. With lot of veggies, fish or lean meat. No fry, less coconut, and less oil to make the curry.

Evening snack could be green tea with some crackers. Again no sweet, no butter. Just plan crackers

Early dinner. Again portion control is what important. Perhaps 2 little atta chappati, with curry. No oil, no butter or no sugar
A glass of milk before bed time.

Give at least 3 hrs time between dinner to bed time. In between, you can have water.

Drink plenty of water throughout the day.

No junk food, no fried items, no biscuits, no chocolates or sweets during dieting times.
If possible have more than 1 cup of green tea.
Slowly reduce the portion of your rice or wheat as days pass by.

Do some crunches (called as tummy exercise) for 20 times in the morning and 20 times in the evening. With that also do some other minor stretching exercise at home. Do that constantly.

Enjoy some household chores... Such as washing, moping the floor, wiping the windows, bending etc..etc...

Walk the nearby locations if possible instead of car or auto.

If you have an exercise machine at home, then do that regularly with fun. You may watch TV or listen to music while exercising.

Now a days, I return home from the office by walking. It takes 20 mins, but I enjoy the weather as well as the opportunity of window shopping.

I opt for staircase often instead of using a lift. I play with the kids be it inside the house compound or at the park. It does make me sweat indeed.

Such things are like our regular activities, but with very few adjustments they become effective weight loss plans.

I would like to join. I am not too strict in my diet. Since I cook for children I tend to eat all leftovers. I want to give them normal food as it is more important for their growth and health. Let me see how I succeed.

    My plan:
    2 ltrs of water
I cup of coffe in the morning.
Breakfast: 1.5 cups cooked oats with 1/4 cup milk and 15 raisins in morning on weekdays.
Weekends - 3 idlis or 3 dosai with tablespoon chutney or 1/2 cup sambar
Mid morning snack - any fruit or 1/4 cup dry roasted soybean
lunch - 2 slices bread and
evening snack - 5 dates or 1 cup of sundal
dinner - 2 rotis + 1 cup rasam + 1 cup vegetable curry or sabji

    Exercise plan:
1.5 hr walk or 5 days a week
30 min of yoga for 5 days a week

If I able to keep up with this plan for a week that will be a great achievement.

Main challenge: to cook limited amount for the children and hubby and dont bother about leftovers...

    Wish me ladies.
