Looking for partners for healthy eating / workout

    Hi friends ,
    I am looking for buddies to join my journey towards healthy lifestyle . I am lacking motivation at this stage and need to lose 20 pounds to fall into my bmi. I would like to take this slow and keep the change forever by following healthy lifestyle and just not trying to lose weight. There are so many threads here that I am confused to be part of. So my goal is to exercise for 45 mins daily and eat healthy everyday by posting the food so that we can set a goal to eat properly as I believe it's 80 percent nutrition and 20 percent work out which keeps you healthy . I cook for the family healthy meals but suck at eating them myself which is quite important as I have slow metabolism due to hypothyroidism .

    I would like to have a buddy or so who could help each other to motivate ourselves.

    Hi dear

    wish to join you..i have lost few kgs because of IL

    I am currently 60 and want to reduce to 55. I do a moderate gym for 30-45 mins and try to maintain a health diet as much as possible.

    I have the same hypothyroid issue as you but trying to win over it..Let me start updating my diet and workout from tomorrow

    2 cups pumpkin+little rice+1 chapathi
    2 Dosas and chicken soup(could not avoid few spoons of briyani as well as well as we went out for dinner) :(

    Exer:

    20 mins tread mill
    20 mins cross trainer

    Hey Fps,
    thanks for replying and joining my journey . I neither exercised or ate well today yet I will update what I did to avoid this
    breaKfast - half cup of milk
    lunch - broccoli cheddar soup grabbed from cafeteria at work along with fresh salad.
    Coffee
    dinner - 2 bananas and 2 rotis with frozen paneer curry and some tea later .

    As I said I did not do good though I maneged to cook healthy food and packed everyone's lunch and got lazy to pack mine .
    lesson for tomorrow - eat what you cook for family and pack for office and workout for 45 minutes .

    i hope both if us do well tomorrow and weigh in and measure every Sunday to see if we managed to lose inches or weight.

    by the way I like Ragi upma of yours . Sounds really healthy . Recipe would be great :)

    Me too want to join you friends.. Will update my diet and exercise from today. I too have hypothyroidism and pcos.
    My Starting Weight - 90 kg
    Target for this month - 88 kg

    We get ragi vermicelli here..just soak in water for few minutes, steam and make tadka like normal upma

    Let me know if you need detailed recipe dear

    Welcome luv and flutter . Good to have you all . Let's post our goal for the week and also discuss where we are .I plan to lose a pound in a week and will keep you posted of the results .

    i shall see if Ragi vermicelli is available in stores ..will come in handy for sure .

    ok ladies,let's update how the food regime and exercise went for today by end of the day. We are in different time zones but let's make sure we log our updates before we sleep to make sure we are sticking to the plans the next day and keep ourselves motivated.

    10.00 am - 1 glass warm water with honey and lime juice
    10.45 am - 2 glass of multigrain porridge with buttermilk
    12.30 pm - 1 glass women horlicks in hot water w/o sugar
    1 small banana
    1.20 pm - 2 seedless dates
    2.10 pm - 1 bowl moong and lauki soup
    4.00 pm - 1 bowl watermelon
    5.00 pm - 2 brown bread sandwich with onion tomato and egg
    9.30 pm - 2.5 chapati with punjabi bhindi masala

    Exercise:

    LS 2 mile walk
