My 3rd time weight loss challenge: Working mom with 2 kids

    Hello Ladies,

    I was planning to start this thread long back but kept forgetting, as I'm here for the third time to lose my pregnancy wt. It's really challenging to exercise each and every day with my toddler and a new born (currently 3 months old).

    I've successfully lost my wt before and I'm hoping to lose this time as well in a slow and steady manner as I'm not in a rush !

    I'll post my food log and exercise routine here. Let's follow some good healthy habits. I'm trying to follow some challenges like below:

    1. Early dinner as far as possible
    2. Exercise daily
    3. Junk items - fried items/ sweet - monthly once and not more than that
    4. Include fruits in diet
    5. Eat only home cooked food items

    July 16

    Food :
    Break fast : 1 wheat bread, 1 cup bournvita (1/2 spoon sugar) after an hour had smoothie(made with 1 apple, 1 banana, 5 strawberries, few blueberries without sugar)
    Lunch: chapati, brown rice, curry, 2 cucumbers & 1 vegetable
    Post lunch: 1 big glass of butter milk
    Dinner: Roti's
    1 multivitamin

    No junk today :2thumbsup: (Day 3)

    Workouts:
    Climbing stairs (at home)
    Floor ex - 15 mins
    Normal walking - 40 mins



    July 17

    Food :
    Break fast : 1 wheat bread, 1 cup bournvita (1/2 spoon sugar) after an hour had smoothie(made with 1 apple, 1 banana, 5 strawberries, few blueberries without sugar & milk)
    Lunch: chapati, brown rice, curry, 2 cucumbers & 1 vegetable
    Post lunch: 1 big glass of butter milk
    Dinner: Roti's
    1 multivitamin
    No junk today :wow(Day 4)


    Workouts:
    Climbing stairs (at home)
    Floor ex (60 mins) + Treadmill (30 mins) + Elliptical (30 mins)


    Floor ex: Arm workouts with and without dumbbells, basic squats, free squats, sumo squats, lunges. Today I exercised in front of my kids (good time pass for them) and my 3 month old was giving a weird look at me seeing me doing Sumo squats thinkingsmiley

    Wt:
    June 30 (Monday) - 155.8 lbs
    July 17 (Thrusday) - 152.8 lbs (lowest)

    im a working mom with 2 boys of 4 and 2 years old.
    im trying to lose about 10 kg to look fit and nice.
    will update my today's diet and excercise shortly. And this my first time really trying to lose weight with healthy diet and consistent work outs.

    my update for 18th July

    on liquid fasting today
    breakfast: one cup of koozh frm temple
    then a cup of chocolate milk
    lunch: a cup [COLOR=#009900 !important]soya milk[/COLOR]
    dinner: uppma, fruits and dates

    no workouts

    Thanks so much Priya !
    As I'm on bench looking for projects I do get lot of time to spend time with my kids n for exercise.. It's going to be challenging once I start on a project .. So trying to make use of this time for my workouts :)

    I'll be looking for you on my thread for every pound you lose.

    I stick to same food routine /menu daily as this works best for me and have lost around 7 lbs so far (in 2 months)..

    Workouts + food diet = guaranteed weight loss :exactly:

    Lunch: chapati, brown rice, curry, 1 egg & 1 vegetable (peas)
    Post lunch: 1 big glass of butter milk
    Eve: coffee (after a while) with Parle G
    Dinner: Dosa, murukku, 1 sweet (from India)
    1 multivitamin


    Workouts:
    Climbing stairs (at home)
    Floor ex (30 mins) + Treadmill (30 mins)

    Floor ex: Arm workout without dumbbells, basic squats, free squats, sumo squats, lunges.

    breakfast: 2 ragi thosai with sambar
    lunch: vege salads (celery, carrot, cucumber, baby tomato) with pinch of salt and pepper
    dinner: not yet, planning to have 2 ragi thosai

    workout:
    fast walk at park 45 mins


    weight updat: 21st July 68.7kg or 151.1 lbs (my lowest)
    hopefully i can reach my target 150 lbs by 31st july)
