    Hello gals,

I am starting my weight loss journey. Last year I lost 15 pounds however, due to some challenges had to stop my gym and weight slowly crept in. Its saddening to say the least when the weight comes back in, and the loose clothes gets tighter.

I went down from 162 (73 kgs) to 147 (66 kgs). However now have put on a lot. My goal weight is 119 (54 Kgs) pounds.

I decided to pull my sleeves and join the gym close to work. Plan to make the most of it.

    Today is Day 2.

Day 1: Worked out for 45 mins on treadmill, ate in moderation.

Day 2: Ate as per diet (will post my diet shortly). 30 mins walk + 45 mins treadmill (walk + run @ 4 MPH)

Please "Like" for support, wish me luck to make it happen!

In my previous posts, I forgot to enter my starting weight (on Thursday 01/16) : 156 pounds (Gym Manual Scale)

Using Treadmill for most effective Weight loss:

Last year, I followed Couch to 5K running program (Couch to 5k - C25K Running Program) not completely, but tweaked it a little my way per my stamina and was able to run for 45 mins non-stop on 5.0 MPH.

I found that for my body, running was the most effective way to lose weight. I would run for 3-4 days/week and after a few weeks included 30 mins of stepper once or twice a week to lose 15 pounds in 2.5/3 months.

This year, it’s easier, since my mind is in complete agreement over the running plan.

In my 1[SUP]st[/SUP] week, I have started to follow this routine on my Treadmill until I can run non-stop for 45 mins on treadmill,

    1. 5 mins walk on 3.2 (Avg)
    2. 10 mins run on 4.4
    3. 5 mins walk on 3.8
    4. 5 mins run on 4.4
    5. 5 mins walk on 3.8/3.9
    6. 5 mins run on 4.5
    7. 5 mins walk on 4.0
    8. 5 mins walk on 3.0 (cool down)

Plan is to increase the running and speed as each week progresses. Will keep posting my progress.

    Current Weight Confusion:
I need to update my Current Weight as of Jan 20th: 149.6 ( Digital Home Scale).Must have lost 2 pounds so far (156 pounds was wrong, It should have been 151/152 may be) I always went by this scale in the past, so will keep going with it. Will ignore the Gym one, i hardly know how to use that one, and it always shows approximate numbers. I plan to add my scale pic here as well from next week!

Thanks all for the encouragement!! Means a lot and keeps me going!

    Monday 01/20/14:

    Workout:
45 mins Run + Walk. My Treadmill numbers on Monday, when I was almost done:
    Jan 20, 2014.jpg
    Diet:
    BF (6:50 AM) : 1 cup coffee+1 Toast
MM Snack (9:30 AM): 2 Marie Biscuits
    Lunch (12:00 AM): 3/4 cup Quinoa +Carrots
    E Snack (3:00PM) : 3 Marie Biscuits
Dinner (7:30 PM): 2 small Methi rotis + Yogurt

I figured I skipped my bread for MM and just ate 2 Marie biscuits, had some acidity problems. Lesson learnt: Never to miss the slice of bread!

    ~Have a wonderful day!
