TFFK - The First Five Kilos

    Heyyyyy,

    So. It is day 5 and I am feeling food.... I mean good. Today was a lot better that yesterday no cramp whatsoever. Knee does act up though but tolerable. Here is the recap for today.

    Day 5
    BF - one prata and potato, butter beans kurma
    Lunch - one egg and one egg white omelette
    Dinner - a cup of lemon rice
    Snack - NIL
    Fruits - NIL

    Not the best choices of food for today, promising I will do better tml. Feel like eating something, but I should know better. I should have eaten something solid rather than just an omelette, got hungry way too fast and started eating the lemon rice which I made for tomorrow. :(

    I had fruits at home but I didn't bother eating that. :rant now I am mad at myself.

    Water - 2.5lt

    Level of activity - low ( I have to do better on this, all day I sit around and watch tv) :bonk

    Workout:
    Jillian Michaels Shred - level 1
    50 crunches
    25*2 cross crunches
    20*2 standing leg raisers

    I skipped the additional squats and jumping jacks because I didn't want to strain my knees further and it is only day 2 of you know what.

    Struggled a little during workout as my HRM kept going off and I had to stop and set it right. :spin it was so so frustrating, I hope it doesn't happen again.

    Hi Ladies,

    Today was particularly hard, I went out in the morning. So many temptations along the way. From high calorie curry puffs to mango strudels, food everywhere. Bakery after bakery along the way. Can you imagine smelling, looking at the high fat, colorful and delicious food as you walk.

    I wanted to disappear, I think I was almost running away from the mall. Then came hawker center ( food court ) with various food varieties tempting me yet again. There is this carrot cake (Chai Tow Kway - stir fried radish cake with eggs and lots of oil) shop which is so famous that people start to queue early in the morning. It is my favorite. Then the spring roll, butterfly bun, Yu Tiao etc etc were displayed so beautifully, I almost died. :drowning

    Somehow managed to walk ahead without looking back. Then it was worse at the supermarket, by this time I was already hungry after thinking about food for so long. Chocolates, buns, ice creams etc etc. I was like a hungry child who can't have what she wants. It took me great willpower to walk away from all the temptations, when I reached home my bag had couple of blueberry packs, a strawberry pack, Mushrooms and fish. :)

    Looking back, I think I should have stopped my craving then and there. I could have analyzed and bought one item that I really wanted to eat. Okay, there is always next time to try that method instead of going through such agonizing pain.

    I can't believe it is Day 6:
    BF - blueberry, banana and yogurt smoothie (1glass)
    Lunch - 4 spoons of Lemon rice and oven roasted broccoli
    Dinner - 2.5 Phulka's and dal makahani
    Snack - Nil
    Fruits - one apple and one red Jambu

    Water - 1.5 lt

    Activity level - Medium

    Workout:
    Jillian Micheals shred - Level 1
    75 squats
    70 Jumping Jacks
    60 crunches
    30*2 cross crunches
    30*2 standing leg raisers

    I had such a difficult time completing shred workout . :( stopped so many times.

    1. The stupid hrm kept going off
    2. Started the workout only at 10pm, I was extremely tired from all the activities I during the day
    3. Lack of sleep. I have been sleeping late and waking up early.

    Keeping fit is not so easy.

    Learning from mistakes everyday.

    Yesterday's update

    Bf : 1 aloo paratha and 1 cup tea

    after two hours had banana

    lunch : rice with curry.1/2 bowl curd and salad

    snack 1 cup tea with puffed rice bhel

    dinner same as lunch



    exercise:

    morning : 30 min walk + 15 suryanamaskar
    evening 30 min walk
