    Hello Everyone,
Gaining the weight during pregnancy was very essential.Even in my case i gained almost 15kgs.After delivery i lost only 6kgs.But i never worried about my weight gain as one will be more happy when they see their baby. But somehow in the corner of my mind ,i was pretty sure i will go back to my original weight.I was with my parents for almost first 5 months.Everyone was taking take of me & baby,i was on full rest, eating ,sleeping & enjoying the first moments with my baby.
After i joined my husband with my baby here,it was very tough for me to manage alone, but thanks to my DH as he used to take care of most of my work load except managing our baby.By the way i have gone thru C-section,it used to be very difficult for me during night hrs,as my LO used to wake up atleast 3-4 times for feeding,i could not sit for long time,my body pains, tiredness, what not i have a very big list.
Since by now iam capable of doing simple exercises at home, then i decided to be strong & physically fit. I have taken a strong determination not to focus on weight loss on doing a rash diet since i was BF my baby, but i thought doing some regular exercises with full focus atleast for 10-15 mins will be good for my body.
There it started, during pre-pregancy i used to do some warm-up exercises, simple yoga basics, breathing exercises,10-15 suryanamaskaars which made me physicaly fit.

    My pre-pregnancy weight 58kgs.
    Weight gain during pregnancy 76kgs
    After delivery 70kgs

In fact it is very true for some people, during BF we either loss weight or will be optimal. In my case i was optimal neither i gained or lost my weight but all the first 5 months i maintained 70kgs.
From last 45 days i seriously started doing warm up exercises, breathing exercises,& the most important Suryanamaskaar regularly twice a day .For the first week i could able to do only 2 suryanamaskaars,as i could not strech my boby completly.Gradually i increased to 15 per day, today my body is more flexible, relaxed, easy to strech.Iam now able to manage by ownself taking care of my baby & household activities, never complained my DH about my tiredness or sleepless nights.i could able to manage my boy, even if he wakes up late in the night & demands for play time. All i need is nearly 6 hrs of sleep.
And to my surprise i lost 5 kgs in 45 days, beleive me it really worked out,by also making some simple changes to my diet as my DH told me by reducing the Carb intake & Sugars ,and was more focused on taking nearly 35% of protein to my required calorie intake per day.Now my DH is more happy than me seeing my physical & facial changes day to day.Iam now 65kgs.
Overall i just want to say that, loosing the baby fat is very easy with simple exercises when ur baby is below 1 yr:thumbsup

    Thanks Ash

    Hello,
Sorry for the late reply.Iam gald that ur inspired by my post.U can find many videos on suryanamaskaar and warm up exercises from youtube itself.Even i have learned from seeing the videos. As one of the IL told I do follow these video before starting SN so that we can warm up our body .
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ov7W5SCIqwkhttp://
Below is the link of SN which is clearly explained in each step by step procedure
    http://rnarayanaswami.net/yogapdf/SURYANAMASKAR.pdf

When coming to my diet,i did not concentrate more on my diet chart, becoz i am nursing my baby. But i have more focused not to take more carbs (specially rice),milk(0% fat free), & i totally stop sugars ,reduced my salt intake

Rather i more focused on eating fibers ,increased my protein intake,as proteins play an important role in reducing the weight loss. But i heard that consuming more proteins is not good for long run.

    wish u good luck

    Thanks ash

    Hello vidya,
Just relax,if u change ur mind set,u can do anything & everything.During the BF,some of the women will loose the weight or they maintain the idle weight. once they stop BF,lot of people increase their weight. This might be one of the reason.Eating the little food, does not mean u have to loose weight, but r u sure ur taking the right amount of calories and sending sufficient nutritious food supply to your body?
As i have mentioned above, all iam doing is some simple exercises & the most important Suryanamaskaar which i have learnt from videos .And iam everytime aware of taking required intake of calories & more focusing on reducing carbs, sugars, oily stuff, salt. I drink atleast 8 glasses of water.

Make a plan for weight loss reduction and put the plans into action.
i can help u in telling u what i have done

    1)Find out your BMI
    2)Know ur healthy weight
3)Calculate ur no.of calories intake on daily basis
4)Make a target on ur desired no.of kgs u wanna loose.
5)Sketch the diet chart according to ur meal plan.
6)Put the list of items to-eat & calculate their no.of calories per quantity
7)Dedicate your precious time in spending some exercises .
8)Drink atleast 8 glasses of water.
9)Increase ur protein intake,as this plays a prominent role in reducing the weight.

one thing i wanna say is ,i was not on totally a strict rule diet..iam eating anything i wish..but in a very limited portion.for example, rather eating a cup full of ice cream, iam shifting to atleast 2-3 tea spoons of it,which full fills my desire
If ur really concerned about ur weight loss, you should be more focused, keep ur actionable steps taking forward, dedicate ur time and with full focus mind set.On one day, even some one can be inspired by you.

    Good luck

    Thanks Ash

    Hey Thenmozhi,
"A very Happy new year". I stay with my husband & baby here, most of the inspiration gets from my husband. My LO is 7 months old now, usually he takes 2 naps during day time. After his breakfast he goes to sleep, then i will be using that time for doing my exercise .After our lunch we both take a small nap to get some rest.Coming to my house management, i do cooking ,cleaning the kitchen room, any household work if pending during night hrs as my LO goes early to bed .@7-8pm. I I will plan by next day every night,so that it will be easy for me to spend the whole day & supervise him .
